Crysis

Besides the solo campaign, Crytek is lining up some hefty multiplayer action. Up to 32 players will be able to join skirmishes, realtime armour and weapons customisation will feature and a new mode will be introduced that combines player modification and tactical objectives. A toolset will also be provided to give players the opportunity to create their own single and multiplayer levels.

Of course, we haven't even mentioned just how breathtakingly gorgeous Crysis looks, with effects that are both subtle and stunning used to create a staggeringly realistic island playground.

Crysis isn't planned to be released for PC until early next year and it's going to be an agonising wait - a time crisis, if you will. However, we plan on having an intimately close encounter with Crytek's potential masterpiece in the making at this year's E3. Until then, look at the screens, watch the movie and overflow with excitement.
