Win! A 42” TV and three copies of Let Me In on DVD

More often than not American remakes of revered foreign originals are a bad idea. A very bad idea, just look at what happened to [Rec] . But Let Me In is different, an American remake that not only captures what made the original so special, but in some ways (whisper it) improves things.

A vampire horror that could only be further away from Twilight if it jettisoned vampires altogether and replaced the bloodsucking critters with Care Bears, Let Me In is a coming-of-age tale with a difference. Bullied at school, young Owen finds solace in a centuries old vamp who happens to reside in the body of a 12-year-old girl. Needless to say, where vampires go trouble follows, and a spate of brutal murders attracts the attention of the local police force.

From Cloverfield director Matt Reeves, Let Me In is one of the most audacious, stylish and raw horror movies to come out of Hollywood in many a year and a prime example of how, occasionally, Hollywood can get it right. Not seen it? Then you can bag yourself a copy on DVD by answering the question behind this magic link . The first prize winner will also win a 42” Full HD LG LCD TV. OMG!
