Connery to be written into Indy 4

They were photos to warm the deepest, darkest parts of your cockles - as Sean Connery was honoured by the American Film Institute last week, he chatted briefly to Harrison Ford and a for a moment, it was a sublime father/son reunion… and it wasn’t just us excitable kids at TF Towers who thought so…

“I would love him to be in the next Indiana Jones film,” Indy supremo George Lucas told Access Hollywood at the bash. “Maybe I can push him into it,” he smiled.

Connery appeared in Indiana Jones And The Last Crusade in 1989, playing the intrepid archaeologist's father, Dr Henry Jones.

Lucas and Indy helmer Steven Spielberg have made no secret about their desire to lure Big Sean back for Indy 4 but the stumbling block has always been whether or not the 75-year-old Scot wants to sign up.

“I think he does,” Lucas added, “and we are writing him in whether he wants to do it or not.”

That’s the spirit Georgie…
