Code Name: The Cleaner review

Cedric the Entertainer is your average bewildered chubby dude with a bad case of amnesia, a dead FBI agent in his bed, a sexy blonde wife (Desperate Housewives’ Nicollette Sheridan) and a briefcase full of money. Is he a victim of very mistaken identity… or a really fat spy? Director Les Mayfield (Flubber) turns a twisty crime tale into a loony-cartoony romp worthy of a Hong Kong Phooey episode. But where the number-one superguy used to solve crazy mix-ups like this in 15 minutes, The Cleaner takes a laboured, exposition-larded hour and a half. Save for Ced’s slobbish charisma, there’s little worth remembering.
