Find the file Scripts\difficulty.txt in the game's folder and use a program like Notepad to open it. Look for Damage0 and change it from 0.17 to 0.0. This affects easy mode
Medium is the value in line 2 and line 3 if for Hard modes which may also be changed.

After you beat the first level "contact" you become a grunt and you have the genocide deluxe. you should always use it when breed reinforcements come.
