How to Get 4 Friend Areas
Entry Location:
After you save Digalit, two Magnamites will be in front of your house. They will talk to you for a little while then your partner will ask them if they will join your team. They will ask you if they have a place to stay. You and your partner won't know where they will stay. Then one Magnamite will speak up and say "Too bad" and both Magnamites will fly away. Then your partner will say that there is a fan club and Wigglytuff was at the door and he wasn't there that day. He will say that Wigglytuff will be there tomorrow. Then he will say “Let’s get some rest”. When you wake up - go to Pokemon square, then go to a place where there is a Wigglytuff. Talk to him and he will tell you to buy some friend areas. He will give you 3 areas free. Then the 2 Magnamites will be right next to you. They will ask Wigglytuff if they can have a power plant. Wigglytuff will say “Yes”. The Magnamites will say “Yay”. Then they will ask if they can join your rescue team. Your partner will say “Yes”. So you will now have the power plant and the other 3 areas for free.

Beating Groundon

Groundon isn't as hard as you might think. Just remember bring at least one reviver seed for you and your partner. Also if you have a water pokemon and grass, keep using sleep powder. While he's asleep switch to razor leaf or vine whip or something and keep repeating until dead.

Relearn Moves

Get Kecleon on your Team

Any dungeon with a Kecleon shop
When you see Kecleon's shop in a dungeon, make sure your lvl 90 and go to the shop and take all the items then leave. When he tells you the price and says, "Is this acceptable," say no and he will call you a shoplifter and attack you. He is really strong but if you defeat him he will join your team and he will let you keep the items.

Finding Chestnuts

If you are having trouble getting peeled Chestnuts to give to Bad Mankeys Gang, like I have had, here's a quick hint: I know that the Mankeys ask for peeled Chestnuts, but if you give them regular Chestnuts, those work, too. The Uproar Forest has exactly 10 levels, or floors. Once you get to the 9th floor, begin looking for Chestnuts. From experience, I know that on the other 8 floors, you CANNOT find Chestnuts. The only place you can find them is on the 9th floor. And so far, the most I have found on the 9th floor is 2 Chestnuts. Good luck!

Recruiting Legendaries

Some tips for recruiting legendaries:
1. Your party needs to have room for a four star size Pokemon.
2. Level up! the higher the level difference between you and your opponent, the better your chances.
3. Your leader MUST strike the final blow and be adjacent to the one you are trying to recruit.
4.Equip a friend bow. It can be found on 30f in Mt. Faraway.

Disposible Recruit Protecters

When escorting Pokemon, recruit ANY Pokemon that want to join even if you don't want or need them. They can serve as "temporary recruits". this is a name I gave them, not a name the game gives them. if you like to nickname Pokemon, don't name them so you know its temporary. If you don't name them call them something else.
These are useful if you set tactics to "go after foes" and switch off item master on IQ (so they don't use reviver seeds). they can protect the host, or the escort, and sacrifice themselves for the good of the host so you can recruit more units.
if you didn't want them but followed this hint anyway, say farewell to them and volia, goodbye, temporary recruit...

Hungry Pokemon

When you are in dungeons, hunger is an issue. You can carry food around with you. After battling wild Pokemon, your health will restore over time, but hunger will increase. If you run out of food, your health will start to drop, like poison.

If you don't get Legendaries on your team, don't worry. After you beat the game you can still recruit them. For example, once you beat the game you can go back to Mt. Thunder (which is where you fight Zapdos) and try to fight and recruit him.

Kecleon Help

When you tell Kecleon no when he asks "Is this acceptable" he will attack. If you start out as a Pikachu, and know Thunderbolt, it is a great move to use because if you kill the first Kecleon, more and more keep on coming. Thunderbolt hurts enemies in a one-floor tile range a.k.a-all around you. this helps if you want to keep all the items and escape the floor.

Fighting Kyogre

Stormy Sea
After you finish the game, you can go to the area Stormy Sea. To be able to get there though, you will have to talk to Lombre in the Pokemon Square. He will talk about how he found a dungeon in the middle of the sea. Then he will tell you to talk to Whishcash. He will give you the HM Dive (I suggest you teach it to a Pokemon and not just hold it in your inventory). Then you can go to the dungeon Stormy Sea. If you can make it to the 40th floor, you will fight Kyogre there. It will be easy to beat him if you are a Venasaur and if you have Latios and Latias with you (at least, that's what I did, and it was easy for me).

For the areas that have the word Mid, you are asked to save before the legendary, which is helpful. If you have defeated a legendary and it didn't join your team you can just shut off the game if you saved at the save point. (Beware! If you saved after the defeating the legendary you will not be able to see it again. And if you didn't save before battling the legendary, you will have to beat the dungeon again!)
Hints:
1:Always have room in your party, unless you do not want a legendary.
2:Sometimes you need to buy friend areas, like the friend area "Final Island" Is Mew's friend area. Buy them from Wigglytuff.
3:Some items improve the chances of a legendary joining your team.
4:Articuno, Moltres and Zapdos can be battled twice.
5:Celebi will not battle you, instead it just joins your team.
6:Lugia, Mewtwo, Jirachi, and Ho-Oh always join your team if you defeat them.

Beat Rayquaza Easily

Sky Tower
To beat Rayquaza easily your character HAS to be Skitty and you MUST know attract. When you climb to the top of Sky Tower and Rayquaza stops talking and attacks you use attract and pound him down with attacks until he stops being attracted to you (I used ice beam and shock wave and those two worked well) then use attract again and repeat until dead.

Passing On the Hunger

Any Dungeon
If you are about to die from hunger, and you have no food items at all, then do the following:
-Press "B".
-Select "Team".
-Pick a Partner.
-Select "Leader".
You are now one of your partners with maximum "Belly". If you bring along 2 partners, you can use this hint twice. *BUT* remember to leave your X-leader with at least 1 point in its "Belly". If you don't, it won't move. If it is starved, simply throw a food item at it. Usually, 1 Pokemon's "Belly" lasts about 15-25 floors without any food intake. If you use this cheat twice, it might last you about 60 floors instead of just 20 (plus eating-that'll probably last you another 10 floors).

Shoplifting/Recruit Kelecon

Once you choose your item in a Kelecon dungeon shop, you can take it without paying. This will result in a chase by Kelecons. Once you defeat them and you are Lv90 or above, he may join your team! Altough, failed attempts at shoplifting result in your items will be turned into Plain Seeds (one of the worst items).
