Question marks in a bubble, contains either a soundtrack, picture,
video or secret document that gives you gameplay tips. Check the
Extras
Menu for tips on locations for the items and the goodies you
received by grabbing items. Items help you unlock more missions also,
including number 69 moon medal and last mission.

Tips:
Talk to villagers more than once to get the villager items.

Items love to hide behind boxes or other breakable objects.

You can lose lives and still keep items.

Look up and down... up for ledges, down for mysterious holes.

During Day stages, most items are in the hardest to reach part of
the
levels.

Explore every part of the level.

Stop often and just look around, you might see an item in the
distance, or notice something funny and out of the ordinary.

The Secret Document Tips can help a lot.

Chun-nan without getting hit, It's in the same place as Soundtrack
19, but in this level :P

2 Illustration 2  3rd Continent, Day Stage   Chun-
nan Go for the Goal. First long flying enemy chain, instead of going
all the way across it, only Homing Attack three enemies, then let
yourself fall and a lower enemy chain will appear to a Rainbow Hoop.
Go this direction, and stay to the right, and Light Speed Dash
across a couple of gaps. Now continue on and stay to the left, and
Light Speed Dash across a couple more gaps to find the item.

3 Illustration 3  5th Continent, Gaia Gate   Shamar
First door to the right, Use the Crank first, and move the platform
so it is in front of the item on the pedestal sort of in front of
you. Double Jump and grab Secret Mission 22. Now turn the crank so
that the platform is in the right side of the screen, basically on
the other end of the Rings from where it started off from. Now swing
on the horizontal poles to the left. Grab Movie 19. Ignore the blue
switch for now, you have nothing to put on it, go across the
horizontal poles. Grab Illustration 3.

4 Illustration 4  1st Continent, Day Stage   Apotos
Go for the Goal 2, First enemy chain, take it to the higher path and
you will eventually hit the item.

5 Illustration 5  7th Continent, Night Stage
Eggmanland Act 5, After the fight with the green wizards and green
flying enemies, look in a pile of breakable black boxes.

6 Illustration 6  5th Continent, Day Stage   Shamar
Go for the Goal. Near the beginning of the side scroll part, homing
attack the first few enemies to reach a higher area with the item.

7 Illustration 7  6th Continent, Day Stage   Adabat
Go for the Goal, From the beginning of the level, in the middle of
the path.

Eggmanland Go for the Goal, Second side stepping part, between the

front of an electrified robot and between two shield robots.

in the darker area, catch the two wall jumps in a row above the
wooden platform and this way will lead you to the item.

nan Go for the Goal, After going through two orange hoops and a
rainbow hoop over water then running across water, head to your
right toward a spring on land, keep on this path to find an item.

Act 3, Key section, in a breakable ice formation to the right of the
room soon after the force field appears.

Eggmanland Act 3, Battle room after Document 8, when you go up to
the higher area, look for a swingy thingy on the wall, go up to
another one to find the item to the right.

Spagonia Act 1, See the pole on the other side of the Goal Ring? You
will find an item in this area on top of a short roof.

the left of the area with all the platforms, you will see a pole,
climb it to find the item.

Spagonia Act 3, You see this item behind a fence after climbing up
the first pole, but you have to wait till later to get it. You know
how to get the key you see when on the ledge, by finding a wooden
platform going up and down beside the high narrow pathway? See the
barrels up here beyond this platform to the left? Well break them
and keep going left a LONG way up here, till at the end of this
pathway you find another wooded platform that leads down to this
item.

Act 2, After putting out the fire and climbing up the pole, look to
your right and you will find a pole going down into a small hole.
See the plants to the right? Push against the wall here and you will
find a narrow tunnel to the item.

Act 1, At the very beginning of the level, go backwards a bit and
break some jars to the right.

bit to catch a lower pole, that leads to the item.

item is behind this ruin.

right near a line of Rings and you will find you can climb on top of
the little building. You will find a ledge up here, use it to go

left over a rail, use the enemies to catch this rail to reach an

go left instead of right.

Spagonia Go for the Goal. Side scrolling section, later on after the
bell tower, the first rip cord, after getting off it instead of
getting on the second rip-cord, jump the opposite direction off the
tower to catch a secret rail that leads to the item.

Spagonia Act 2, As soon as you see your first spikes in the level,
you will find a pathway to your right. Follow this winding pathway
to the end, jumping over more spikes, for an item.

Act 3, Instead of swinging across the first couple of bars, drop
down below and you will find the item if you head toward the screen.

First door to the right, Use the Crank first, and move the platform

then the platform should be lined up so you can put the metal crate
on top of it. Now go all the way back to the crank. Move the
platform so it is near the blue switch, then go all the way back to
the blue switch and set the crate on the switch. Now go back toward
the sunspot area, and another platform has appeared going back and
forth, take it to Illustration 40

41 Illustration 41  3rd Continent, Special Mission
Chun-nan Time Attack 2, Take the first Action Chain of enemies to
the first spring. Now this way, get all the buttons right off the
pads to get the item.

Holoska Break Nothing, End of the hallway with three bees.

Adabat Don't get hit, On the other side of the goal ring.

after Illustration 75, you will pass a small fire, head toward the
screen to find the item on a little ledge.

153 Movie 9  2nd Continent, Night Stage   Spagonia Act 1, As
soon as you see the Goal Ring, go down the stairs to your left. Jump
down into the area with the pole, then head toward the screen, make
a turn and still head toward the screen for an item.

154 Movie 10  5th Continent, Night Stage   Shamar Act 2, After
the enemy battle in front of the building ruin involving both pink
and green enemies, go toward the boxes and the 30 ring to the right,
then toward the screen and you will see a little swingy thing below,
take that path to the item.

155 Movie 11  5th Continent, Night Stage   Shamar Act 4, After
the part where there is a winding path with three 5 Rings in a row,
go off to the right near some boxes and the camera pan changes, jump
on the broken pillar to the other side for an item.

156 Movie 12  2nd Continent, Night Stage   Spagonia Act 3, At
the very beginning, head straight past the pole, break the jars to
the left to find this item.

157 Movie 13  3rd Continent, Night Stage   Chun-nan Act 1,
Soon after the second battle, look against the wall for a small door
with a crack in it, attack the door for the item.

158 Movie 14  4th Continent, Night Stage   Holoska Act 3,
After opening the second door in the level, you will see a red orb
item box on top of a ledge, fall below here, and head toward the
screen to find a small secret room with the item in it.

pole, jump down below, and go toward the screen to find the hidden
item.

160 Movie 16  6th Continent, Night Stage   Adabat Act 4, Final
Fight with goal ring in site, if you go to the grassy path to the
left side, there is an item behind some jars.

161 Movie 17  6th Continent, Night Stage   Adabat Act 2, After
the whirlpool part when you finally reach the beach, head right
instead of left. You will find a breakable rock wall, go inside, you
will have to battle some touch enemies, but the item is behind some
jars in here.

162 Movie 18  5th Continent, Night Stage   Shamar Act 2, Get
on top of the building ruin mentioned for Movie 10. See the narrow
wall that is the left side of the way you normally go with the fire?
Carefully walk along the top of this wall, and when you get far
enough a flying enemy will appear that will take you to the item.

163 Movie 19  5th Continent, Gaia Gate   Shamar First door
to the right, Use the Crank first, and move the platform so it is in
front of the item on the pedestal sort of in front of you. Double
Jump and grab Secret Mission 22. Now turn the crank so that the
platform is in the right side of the screen, basically on the other
end of the Rings from where it started off from. Now swing on the
horizontal poles to the left. Grab Movie 19.

164 Movie 20  7th Continent, Night Stage   Eggmanland Act 1,
After the elevator ride, before you throw the crate at the breakable
floor, there is a high ledge on the left side of the hallway, climb
up it for an item.

165 Movie 21  7th Continent, Night Stage   Eggmanland Act 2,
After the conveyor ride where you have to carry a metal crate to
avoid being burned, there is an enemy battle. Put that crate in the
left-hand corner of that room toward the screen, double jump up to a
ledge. Climb up for the item.

166 Movie 22  2nd Continent, Gaia Gate   Spagonia First door
to the left, Grab the Spike (bomb enemy) and throw it up against the
cracked stone to open a hole in the wall, then jump through there.
Now climb up the ledge in front of the sunspot, pick up the Spike up
there, take it down the hall, then throw it at the cracked rock that
is beyond the horizontal pole, then use the pole to reach Soundtrack
27. Now use the sunspot and lightspeed dash a couple lines of Rings.
Now get in the next sunspot, and step on the platform to make it
move. Now quickly Lightspeed Dash a line of Rings the platform goes
by to grab Movie 22.

167 Movie 23  4th Continent, Gaia Gate   Holoska Gaia Gate
Door to the Left, You can't open the door yet, instead climb up a
ledge to the right. Double jump to the left to find a moving
platform going to Soundtrack 24. Now go back to the right, before
turning, see the sunspot to the right? Change into regular Sonic,
push the switch to open the door (don't go in here yet, and
Lightspeed Dash the Rings to grab Secret Mission 17. Now Lightspeed
Dash across again, and go through the door. Jump on the platform to
get across to the switch, which makes the platform move. Now hop on
the other platform to reach Movie 23.

168 Movie 24  2nd Continent, Gaia Gate   Spagonia first door
to the right, Use the sunspot to go across the treadmill and on the
treadmill grab Movie 34. Now get in the sunspot and go across both
treadmills to attack the stone, grab Movie 30. In there is a Spike
enemy, grab it, go across the treadmill to break open the stone you
passed up (There's a dangerous small gap here) to reveal Movie 24
and a switch.

169 Movie 25  4th Continent, Gaia Gate   Holoska Gaia Gate
Door to the left, You can't open the door yet, instead climb up a
ledge to the right. Double jump to the left to find a moving
platform going to Soundtrack 24. Now go back to the right, before
turning, see the sunspot to the right? Change into regular Sonic,
push the switch to open the door (don't go in here yet, and
Lightspeed Dash the Rings to grab Secret Mission 17. Now Lightspeed
Dash across again, and go through the door. Jump on the platform to
get across to the switch, which makes the platform move. Now hop on
the other platform to reach Movie 23. Hop in the sunspot, and
Lightspeed Dash the Rings three times in a row to reach Movie 25.

170 Movie 26  2nd Continent, Gaia Gate   Spagonia first door
to the left, Grab the Spike (bomb enemy) and throw it up against the
cracked stone to open a hole in the wall, then jump through there.

Now climb up the ledge in front of the sunspot, pick up the Spike up
there, take it down the hall, then throw it at the cracked rock that
is beyond the horizontal pole, then use the pole to reach Soundtrack
27. Now use the sunspot and lightspeed dash a couple lines of Rings.
Now get in the next sunspot, and step on the platform to make it
move. Now quickly Lightspeed Dash a line of Rings the platform goes
by to grab Movie 22. Now a series of still platforms appear, let
Spike catch up with you. Now go on the moving platform when it's
moving to the right and face right in order to throw spike at a
cracked stone when the platform stops. Now you can jump through the
hole to Movie 26.

171 Movie 27  5th Continent, Gaia Gate   Shamar Second door
to the left, Ignore everything else for now, swing across the bars,
and head right. Get in the sunspot. See the rings to the right? They
are in front of a gap in the wall, crawl through there, then quickly
get to the treadmill and go across it, it might take more than one
try to make it. Before picking up the metal crate, jump up the
ledges to eventually find Movie 27.

172 Movie 28  3rd Continent, Gaia Gate   Chun-nan first door
to the left, Swing across the pole, and find a little passageway to
the right that leads to a sunspot so you can Lightspeed Dash a row
of Rings. Climb up the pole, Grab the metal crate, then while
holding it fall on top of Movie 29. Now set the metal crate down on
the blue switch to activate the platform to the left of the switch,
get on it and go to the sunspot to Lightspeed Dash some rings to get
Movie 28.

173 Movie 29  3rd Continent, Gaia Gate   Chun-nan first door
to the left, Swing across the pole, and find a little passageway to
the right that leads to a sunspot so you can Lightspeed Dash a row
of Rings. Climb up the pole, Grab the metal crate, then while
holding it fall on top of Movie 29.

174 Movie 30  2nd Continent, Gaia Gate   Spagonia first door
to the right, Use the sunspot to go across the treadmill and on the
treadmill grab Movie 34. Now get in the sunspot and go across both
treadmills to attack the stone, grab Movie 30.

175 Movie 31  6th Continent, Gaia Gate   Adabat first door
to the left, Get in the sunspot next to the blue switch, then go up
the treadmill. Soundtrack 3 is over another blue switch (I'm calling
this switch 2). Put the metal crate on switch 2, then go back over
the treadmill. You will find a platform going up and down and
another metal crate. First put the crate on switch 1, then go back
on the platform moving up and down, you will find another platform
now moving up there, and use it to get to Soundtrack 16. Now drop
down below, go across the treadmill, take the box off switch one and
use it as a fire shield and put it on the switch there (switch 3).
This will make a platform to the left of switch 3 go up and down,
this platform has a sunspot on it. Lightspeed dash the rings and you
will get Secret Mission 28. Jump down into the area below, and head
toward the screen to find Movie 31.

176 Movie 32  5th Continent, Gaia Gate   Shamar Second door
to the left, Ignore everything else for now, swing across the bars,
and head right. Get in the sunspot. See the rings to the right? They
are in front of a gap in the wall, crawl through there, then quickly
get to the treadmill and go across it, it might take more than one
try to make it. Before picking up the metal crate, jump up the
ledges to eventually find Movie 27. Now pick up the metal crate, and
put it on the switch next to the gap in the wall. Now go back to the
sunspot, and then as regular Sonic run to the treadmill that is by
another blue switch (area to the left after swinging across the
bars) Now pick up the metal crate and put it on the treadmill. Put
this box on the blue switch next to the treadmill. Now go back to
the sunspot area and get on the platform going up and down. Now pick
up the metal crate up there, and get on the other platform moving
back and forth, you will run into Movie 32.

177 Movie 33  6th Continent, Gaia Gate   Adabat first door
to the right, Go down the treadmill in front of you, than the next
one. Set the metal crate on the switch to the right. Use the sunspot,
and go back up the treadmills, and you will find a platform moving
up and down. Grab Soundtrack 46, then grab the second metal crate.
Drop down below, cross the treadmill, and put it on the switch. Now
go back to the sunspot, and then go up all three treadmills to
another room and another switch, set the metal crate on it. Go
across two treadmills to find a new platform moving up and down.
Grab Soundtrack 23. Now head toward the screen to find another
moving platform. Grab Movie 33.

178 Movie 34  2nd Continent, Gaia Gate   Spagonia First door
to the right, Use the sunspot to go across the treadmill and on the
treadmill grab Movie 34.

179 Movie 35  6th Continent, Gaia Gate   Adabat first door
to the right, Go down the treadmill in front of you, than the next
one. Set the metal crate on the switch to the right. Use the sunspot,
and go back up the treadmills, and you will find a platform moving
up and down. Grab Soundtrack 46, then grab the second metal crate.
Drop down below, cross the treadmill, and put it on the switch. Now
go back to the sunspot, and then go up all three treadmills to
another room and another switch, set the metal crate on it. Go
across two treadmills to find a new platform moving up and down.
Grab Soundtrack 23. Now head toward the screen to find another
moving platform. Grab Movie 33. Now look behind Movie 33 for another
metal box, pick it up and get on the next platform. Now drop down
below and go all the way back to the sunspot to find another
platform going up and down now, grab Movie 35.

180 Movie 36  6th Continent, Special Mission   Adabat
Unschaved, In the middle of the path after two enemies (note, this
is the final mission, find all other items in the game to unlock it)

the Goal 1. After crawling under the wall, up ahead after a sharp
right hand curve is the choice of a higher route to the right and a
lower route to the left. Take the higher route and you will find an
item up there.

184 Document 4  6th Continent, Night Stage   Adabat Act 2:
Third Whirlpool ride, outer ring, Jump up onto the platform with all
the jars on it, the item is among the jars.

185 Document 5  5th Continent, Day Stage   Shamar Go for
the Goal. About mid-way through the level just before the side
scroll part, you have the choice to take a ramp to the right, or a
lower path with enemies to the left. Take the ramp up to an area
with the item.

nan Unscathed, Sitting next to the fourth fire enemy.

Spagonia Find the Treasure, It's in the same place as Movie 9, but
in this level :P

nan Gather Rings 2 (100 Rings) Not too long after the button
pressing part, you will have a choice to go right or left. Choose
right, there will be one very long Action Chain, take it all the way
through for the item.

208 Document 28  5th Continent, Special Mission   Shamar
Collect Rings 3, Stick to the left part of the level. After the
first booster ramp, hug the left wall. Eventually, you will fall
down to a lower area, you will see the item up ahead.

209 Document 29  5th Continent, Special Mission   Shamar
Time Attack, From the beginning, keep to the right, go through the
boxes. Now hit the checkpoint, and hit the boxes on the other side
to find a hidden spring. In the next area after a couple of boosters
and going across a gap, take the ramp to the left up to the item.

Time Attack 2: Falling heads section, in the middle of the path.

Find the Treasure, Second area, behind some jars to the right.

calling this switch 2). Put the metal crate on switch 2, then go
back over the treadmill. You will find a platform going up and down
and another metal crate. First put the crate on switch 1, then go
back on the platform moving up and down, you will find another
platform now moving up there, and use it to get to Soundtrack 16.
Now drop down below, go across the treadmill, take the box off
switch one and use it as a fire shield and put it on the switch
there (switch 3). This will make a platform to the left of switch 3
go up and down, this platform has a sunspot on it. Lightspeed dash
the rings and you will get Secret Mission 28. Jump down into the
area below, and head toward the screen to find Movie 31. Pick up the
metal crate down here, and set it on top of the switch next to Movie
31. Now go back to where Secret Mission 28 was by first dropping
down below the switch, and now another platform is moving, take it
to Document 33.

214 Document 34  7th Continent, Special Mission
Eggmanland Goal without getting hit (night)Over the elevator at the
top, you have to dash in order to jump and grab it in time.

215 Document 35  7th Continent, Special Mission
Eggmanland Unscathed, Land the Walljump in this level to reach the

Eggmanland Battle Royale, at the beginning head toward the screen,
