You start with 2 basic powers, which I labelled with "A". From A1, you can go to B1, or B3. From A2, you can go to B2, and B3. Then, From B1, you can go to C1 etc. The number will tell you how many points you need for that specific power. A1. Heal (1) - Heals Units, Replaces 1 dead man per battalion A2. Elven Gifts (1) - Heroes gain 50% damage bonus (Passive) B1 (A1). Power of the Istari (3) - +100% damage from Gandalf's power Power recharges twice as quickly B2 (A2). Draft (1) - All peasants become armed B3 (A1 or A2). Elven Wood (4) - Creates lush terrain All ally units get +50% armor All enemy units lose all leadership bonusses Does not affect heroes C1 (B1 or B3). Cloud Break (8) - Sun breaks through rain or darkness Stuns enemy units C2 (B3). Summon Elven Allies (8) - Summons a group of Elves C3 (B2 or B3). Summon Rohan Allies (8) - Summons Rohirrim D1 (C1). Summon Army of the Dead - Summons the Army of the Dead ============================================================================== Evil Side [LR.04.01] ============================================================================== Coming in the next version(s). ============================================================================== Tactics and Hints [LR.05.01] ============================================================================== Before we'll (or at least, I) start with the walkthrough, let's discuss a few things; * It doesn't matter how you start the game. You can start with both good and evil, and it's just a matter of taste. My guess it's the best to start with the good campaign, because that's pretty close to the story. * Watch the tutorials. They won't take long, but you'll find out a few things you might miss otherwise. This is not a manual, that's why. * (Ab)use your special powers and heroes. That'll make the battles easier. * Secundary objectives aren't required, but they are good to fill for extra points and bonusses. ============================================================================== Good Side Walkthrough [LR.06.01] ============================================================================== ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Act 1: Moria [LR.06.02] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Reward: +1 Power Units: N/A Heroes: Aragorn, Boromir, Gandalf, Gimli, Legolas, Frodo, Pippin, Merry, Sam Buildings: N/A ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Objectives: [ ] Guide the fellowship through the halls of Moria [ ] All fellowship members must survive [ ] Destroy the Balrog [ ] Bonus: Find 5 treasures [ ] Bonus: Rank all heroes to level 2 [ ] Bonus: Purchase a power Not a very hard mission, looking at the ammount of heroes you have. Just make sure they all stay alive. Click on the Evenstar to get your first power. I suggest Elven Gifts, because that'll boost all your heroes, and you'll only work with heroes in this mission. Besides, it's passive, so you don't have to look back at it. Follow the path, and kill the 2 Goblins. You'll find the first treasure here. If one of your members touches it, he'll get a level for free. I suggest ranking Frodo, Pippin, Merry or Sam, because they don't level up very fast, and you'll need to level up everyone at least one level in order to fill the bonus objective. Keep going, and cross the wooden bridge. The second treasure is here. Enter the room ahead of you. After some killing, follow the stairs for a small sub-room. Inside is a Cave Troll, 2 Goblin Archers and the third treasure. When done, go back, and keep going. Same story here. Do the killing, then follow the stairs. In this sub-room is another treasure. Go back, and enter the next room. You'll be attacked by quite a lot of Goblins and Cave Trolls. Good for experience. Use Aragorn's Heal-power if you need to. When all is killed, enter the next room. Kill the enemies inside, and find the last treasure. By now, everyone should be at level 2, and you found 5 chests. Go to the stairs you see, that lead down. You'll be attacked by Goblin Archers. Use Legolas for them, it's easy experience. Follow the stairs down to trigger a short movie. Balrog will appear, and everyone but Gandalf will leave. Use Gandalf's Lightning Sword skill, and run away when the power is recharging. This is the only way to survive Balrog, but it's very easy. Once it's killed, you won the first mission. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Act 2 [LR.06.03] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ You'll be playing with the army of Eomor now. You can select 3 different missions. I suggest starting with Rohan, because you don't have enough resources to be happy with +10% resources, and the +1 power isn't really needed neither. But do as you please. You'll have to do all the missions anyway. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Act 2a: Westfold [LR.06.04] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Reward: +10% Resources Units: 10 Rohirrim Heroes: Eomor Buildings: N/A ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Coming in the next version(s). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Act 2b: Rohan [LR.06.05] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Reward: +20 Command Units: 10 Rohirrim Heroes: Eomor Buildings: Rohan Citadel ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Objectives: [ ] Destroy all Evil Camps [ ] Bonus: Garrison the Ruined Towers with Yeoman Archers [ ] Bonus: Rank up Eomor one level If you are quick enough, you only have to destroy one camp. Also, don't worry about ranking up Eomor, you'll most likely do this without a single problem. Build a farm, a Rohan Archery Ranche, and perhaps a Rohan Stable. Create 2 groups of Archers. In the mean-time, go south with Eomor and his troops. You'll find the Ruined Towers. When the Archers are done training, get them in the towers. Go to the southeastern corner of the map to find a camp. As I said before, if you're quick, you'll smash them down without any problem, and you finished this mission. If you were a bit slow, you may need to search in the eastern part for another camp. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Act 2c: East Rohan [LR.06.06] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Reward: +1 Power Units: 10 Rohirrim Heroes: Eomor Buildings: N/A ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Coming in the next version(s). ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Act 3: Loth Lorien [LR.06.07] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Reward: N/A Units: 25 Elven Archers Heroes: Aragorn, Boromir, Gandalf, Gimli, Legolas, Frodo, Pippin, Merry, Sam Buildings: N/A ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Coming in the next version(s). ============================================================================== Evil Side Walkthrough [LR.07.01] ============================================================================== Coming in the next version(s). ============================================================================== FAQ [LR.08.01] ============================================================================== Q: The game is too hard for me ;____; A: Set the game on easy then. It may sound cheap, but it'll help. If needed, just finish the game on easy, then re-play it on medium. ============================================================================== Conclusion [LR.09.01] ============================================================================== I hope you enjoyed my guide, since I put a lot of work in it.
