Championship Manager 2007, the newest instalment of the football management series, will feature an officially licensed in-game version of ProZone, the incredibly detailed match analysis software used by professional managers such as England coach Steve McClaren and Arsenal's Arsene Wenger.
We recently had a chance to go hands-on with the latest Champ Man - look out for our preview soon - and already the ProZone system has boggled our brains with tactical possibilities.
ProZone tracks everything that happens on the pitch during a match and after a game it can be used to give managers exact information about a player's performance. For instance, if you want to check how many successful passes your wingers are making, ProZone can show you by overlaying lines on a pitch view. But, brilliantly, it can also show you where they passed from, the direction of the pass and the distance each pass travelled.

It's a superbly powerful tool that's set to add a whole new level of tactical complexity, and gameplay, to Championship Manager 2007. Could this be Championship Manager's year?
