Salma Hayek departed George Tillman Jr’s Faster a few weeks ago, leaving a bit of a gaping hole when it came to star power.
Fear not, because Carla Gugino has stepped in to replace her, bringing with her the same amount of screen sizzle and respectability (even, might we add, a bit more acting talent).
Gugino joins Dwyane Johnson, Billy Bob Thornton, Moon Bloodgood and Maggie Grace in the story of an ex-con who is being pursued by cops as well as murderers while he tries to get revenge for his brother’s death.
According to Variety , “Gugino plays the detective in charge of the investigation, hot on his trail and hell-bent on connecting the killings with a decade-old case.”
The actress appeared in Watchmen and Sin City , and should see her profile raised quite a few notches with this project.
