Buy Medal of Honor Limited Edition and get an exclusive gun

Players who buy Medal of Honor Limited Edition will receive a bit of help in multiplayer matches with exclusive access to the MP7 submachine gun. “Access to a weapon like the MP7 will allow players to experience a tool developed with the Special Operations Community in mind. With its light weight, high rate of fire and its ability to penetrate body armor, the MP7 handles like a pistol yet allows targets to be engaged like a rifle,” explains the game’s executive producer Greg Goodrich.

Limited Edition owners will also have the TOZ-194 and 870MC2 shotguns available to them as soon as the game launches. Other players will need to rank up to unlock them. The announcement follows the release of a new multiplayer trailer that shows off a bit of gun porn, which you can check out below.

This will be the first Medal of Honor title that won’t be set during the World War II era. The campaign will take you through Afghanistan from the point of view of a Tier 1 Operator. The game is scheduled to release on October 12 for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC in North America and on October 15 in Europe.

    MP7? NAH! Looks sleek and all for a sub-machinegun ( or sub-machine pistol ), but I'd still rather have G36. :)

agreed with LImbo, i dont like how some kid will just get a better gun forever just because his Daddy buys him a game.

Where's Bill when you need him...*sigh*

It does sound slightly unfair but I'll probably pre-order this anyway. I doubt this exclusive gun will have that much of an impact on multi-player though and I can see it possibly being available as a dlc package. If someone was desperate to have after launch I'm sure they could pick up a code sharpish off Ebay.

    The shotgun sounds AWESOME!

It seems a little unfair to give some players guns that others will never be able to get, especially if that gun is as good as it sounds. I think special editions of games should only give bonuses that don't give players an edge on others, such as special armor or camo and early access to high-level guns.

Every PS3 game gets Medal of Honor: Frontlines exclusively, it's just that there's also the overall limited edition which comes in the form of early unlocks (just like BBC2). There's no special extra swag, it's just if you buy the game by a certain date you get the guns and if you get it on PS3 you get Frontlines also
