Burnout Paradise developer working on PS Vita game

We haven't heard a whole lot out of Criterion Games recently. Ever since they launched Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, we haven't heard a peep about what the company is working on aside from the passing curiosity that was Burnout Crash.

A new rumor has surfaced suggesting that the much-lauded racing game developer may be working on a title for the PlayStation Vita. The rumor comes from a job listing that was posted on the developers website seeking coders for "optimising and tuning the game resource system for the PS Vita."

The listing has since been changed to be more vague, changing "Vita" to "other platforms."

That doesn't mean it will be the only project they're working on, or even the main project. Our running theory is that Criterion now has at least two crews working separately. One to handle big releases like Need for Speed, which Criterion is rumored to also be developing right now. And the other to handle smaller titles like Burnout Crash.

It would make quite a bit of sense if the latter crew moved to a PS Vita project after releasing Crash last year. Let's add this to the ever growing list of rumors we're hoping will be revealed at E3.
