Bungie wants to know why you haven't been playing Destiny lately

Taking a break from Destiny because you’re fed up of rage quitters, Exotics being nerfed (farewell Bad Juju) and/or have something more appropriate to be doing right now? Bungie is after you, and it wants an explanation.

The Washington studio is emailing players who haven't signed into the game recently, with a questionnaire enquiring as to their reasons why. There are 12 possible tickbox answers, from the obvious ones suggested above (“My contact with other players has been unenjoyable” to the mildly heartbreaking (“I don’t have anyone to play with”). Happy Valentine’s Day!

There’s no option for “raising a child”, “learning a musical instrument”, or “spending every God-given hour cycling through memorable Simpsons screencaps”, but these can be added in a separate field.

The questionnaire comes days after Pete Parsons took over as CEO of Bungie, and promised to make the shooter his “number one priority".

Destiny: The Taken King is out now on PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.

I'm GamesRadar's sports editor, and obsessed with NFL, WWE, MLB, AEW, and occasionally things that don't have a three-letter acronym – such as Chvrches, Bill Bryson, and Streets Of Rage 4. (All the Streets Of Rage games, actually.) Even after three decades I still have a soft spot for Euro Boss on the Amstrad CPC 464+.
