Hunter’s Grotto

Palling Around
XP: 1140
Money: $2,375
Gear: Shotgun

Once you talk to Hammerlock in the lodge, you will need to head south of the area to find the Bullymong lair located beside the boat docks and kill the supposed bulletproof Bulwark there. Once you pass through the large bones sticking out of the ground, go north and the Bullymongs will start to attack. After a few of the Bullymong come out, the Bulwark will then appear. Simply drop him and return to Hammerlock to turn in the quest.

Now You See It
XP: 1140
Money: $2,375
Gear: Rocket Launcher

Once you accept this mission, you will need to grab the bottle of pheromones from the bar before setting out to take down Bloodtail. Once you have them, travel to the Candlerakk’s Crag and then make your way to the southeast area where the waypoint marker is. When you reach the wide open area just past the Elite’s Crossing, you will need to place the bottle on the mound on the ground and then you will have one minute to kill the disappearing Bloodtail when it arrives.

An Acquired Taste
XP: 1140
Money: $2,375
Gear: None

For this mission, talk to Hammerlock and he will tell you of a Borok that has acquired the taste of humans. Make your way to the small hut at the map way point marker and you will cross through a spike trap to reach the lair of the beast. When you arrive, you will then need to lure it out of the cave by either getting a savage caught in the trap, or by using it on yourself. Either way, drop the spikes down and the Borok will then come out of the cave. When it does, simply kill it and then return to Hammerlock to turn in the quest.

Big Feet
XP: 1140
Money: $1,187
Gear: None

Talk to Hammerlock in the lodge and he will give this mission to you. Fast travel to Candlerrakk’sCrag and look on the ground to find mounds that look like turtle shells. Examine the first glowing one and then continue to follow the tracks all the way to the Big Bluff in the south. Once you enter the large area, a creature named Rouge will pop out. Shoot its glowing spots and it will drop after a few hits. Once you grab the ton of loot, return to Hammerlock to turn the mission in.

Still Just a Borak in a Cage
XP: 1140
Money: $2,375
Gear: None

For this mission, travel to the Hunters Grotto Fast travel station and then up through the opening in the cliff to reach the small village on the far side. There will be a cage there along the water that you will need to reach before going after the Borok. Once you reach the cage, then go to the left, up the hill and across the stream. The “Der Monstrositat” will then appear and give chase. Allow it to chase you and run into the cage you were at previously. Once it is in the cage with you, press the button at the rear and then hop up the boxes to escape the cage. If you are too powerful, the beast may die if it hits you, so be sure to stay ahead of it. Once you have it trapped, return to the job board to turn it in.

Egg on Your Face
XP: 1140
Money: $2,375
Gear: None

This is one of the missions that you can complete while working on the other side missions. For this, you will need to collect 23 Drifter eggs that are scattered around the Hunter’s Grotto area. The eggs are pretty large and the blue light that shines upwards from them make them even easier to spot. You’ll find them along the water’s edge, beside buildings, and beside rocks. Simply keep an eye out for them during the other missions in the grotto and you will come across them easily enough. Once you have collected all of the eggs, you will then be told that the mother is none too pleased and you will have to go all the way to the other side of the map to take her down. Head all the way over to the southwestern area of the Grotto and you will find “Arizona” in a cave there. Drop her and the mission will finally end.

I Like My Monsters Rare
XP: 1140
Money: $4,751
Gear: Skin

Like the “Egg on your Face” mission, the easiest way to complete this mission is to accept it and then proceed with the other side missions that you have available. As you kill enemies in those missions, they will count towards this one. To complete this, you will need to kill 8 Pink Boroks, 8 Tailless Scaylions, 6 Two-Legged Drifters, 5 Albino Skags, and 4 Slagged Spores. When you reach an area where each of the regular types of enemies are, go on a continuous murder spree and get as many of the rare ones as you can. If you don’t get enough to meet the requirement, leave and then come back so that the enemies respawn. It can take a few times, but you will get enough of them soon enough. For others like the Drifters or Spores, you’ll need to leave the grotto entirely and then return.

Voracidious The Invincible
XP: 570
Money: $4,751
Gear: None

Once you have completed all of the story missions, return to Hammerlock and you will receive this raid boss mission from him. Like most raid bosses, you may want to take some additional friends with you to face it. Voracidious the Invincible can be found in the Rage Cage, located to the Southeast side of Candlerakk’s Crag near the ammo vending machines there. To face the large beast, you will need to pay 8 eridium to enter and then attack it when you are ready as it won’t attack you until you do. There isn’t any real trick to taking it down, just make sure to have some hefty firepower and keep moving as it will constantly be after you and in your face.

Scylla’s Grove

Ol’ Pukey
XP: 1140
Money: $2,375
Gear: None

Once you talk to Claptrap, make your way to the south to find Grifter’s Reach. Once you pass through the village there, you will find Ol’ Pukey doing his puking thing. Claptrap will ask you to protect it while it continues to hack and cough up the unit stuck inside it. AS the savages begin to show up, protect the Skag and be sure not to hit it yourself. It does take a little while for Ol’ Pukey to do his thing, but eventually it will toss up the unit and the Skag will run away. Examine the Claptrap unit and then the mission will end.

Nakayama-Rama
XP: 1710
Money: $1,187
Gear: None

Once you talk to Claptrap at the top of the village in The Sun Swamps, he will tell you that Nakayama left a bunch of voice recorders around the area and that they will help get more info on him to take him down. The mission just requires you to go around the small area and pick up the recorders that are easily marked on the map. Each recorder is easily spotted and equally easy to pick up. Once you have all 4 of them, simply return to Claptrap to turn it in.

Urine, You’re Out
XP: 1710
Money: $1,187
Gear: None

For this mission, another typical “find 5 things mission” you will need to travel to the large cave south of the Sun Swamps at night and look for the greenish-yellow glowing spots that are on objects. All 5 spots will be on a crate, or stereo, etc. and when you see each, simply interact with it to clean it. All 5 spots are close together with the only tricky one being at the far south of the cave, up the slope at the end. When you have cleaned all 5, return to Claptrap for another pee related mission.

Follow the Glow
XP: 1140
Money: $2,375
Gear: None

For this mission, received after you have completed the pee cleaning one, you will need to go find Dribbles, the Skag who made the mess, and take it out. To find Dribble’s liar, it can be a bit tricky, so exit the Sun Swamp town where Claptrap is and go towards the south. Before you reach the door to get back to the Hunters Grotto, go to the east and then look for a power line on your right, high above. Follow the power line down and it will take you to the Dropwater Cave where you can find the first track on the ground near the door to Ardorton Station. Go through the door to the next area and continue to follow the tracks through to Bone Metal Camp. Once inside, continue forward and you will come to the leaking Skag. Take it down while it’s doing its thing and then return to Claptrap.

The Rakk Dahlia Murder
XP: 1140
Money: $1,187
Gear: Relic

Now that Claptrap has seen you hunt things with Hammerlock, he wants to send you on a hunting mission as well. To lure out the giant Rakk, you’ll first need to get some fireworks from the village. Go to the way point marker on the map and you will find the fireworks in a box next to a building there. Once you have them, you will then need to go to the next waypoint marker which is high up on a ramp, across from the Sun Swamps that will have a pot at the end of it. Place the fireworks in it and activate it. Once you do, Rakkanoth and some regular Rakks will appear. Simply take out the huge Rakkanoth and the mission will be over.
