Quake Champions see Bethesda revive another classic id game

TODO alt text

Wolfenstein and Doom got some contemporary love from publisher Bethesda over the past few years, and now it's time for another id Software property to join the fold; that's right, Quake is back, as "Quake Champions."

Quake Champions is described as a fast, competitive arena shooter coming to PC, so in that sense it certainly sounds true to the retro titles. If you were a fan of Quake's single-player campaigns, you may want to temper your expectations, as a story mode was not confirmed. But hey, if Overwatch can get away with it, why can't Quake?

More info will be revealed at, appropriately enough, Quakecon. Until then, check out every announcement and full summary details on our Bethesda E3 press conference page.
