Everybody knows Sandra Bullock is game for a laugh (and no, not just because most of her films are total jokes).
She did, after all, pick up a Razzie on Saturday for her performance in
All About Steve
before swinging by the Oscars to swipe her Academy Award for
The Blind Side
the very next day.
“Did I really earn this, or did I just wear y’all down?” the actress jokes up at the podium while accepting her Oscar. The rest of the speech is a hilarious, humble number...
“Gabbie, I love you so much. Carey, your grace and your beauty and your talent makes me sick. Helen I feel like we are family. Meryl, you know what I think of you, and you are such a good kisser.
“I have so many people to thank for my good fortune in this lifetime. Everyone who’s shown me kindness when it wasn’t fashionable, I thank you.
"To all the people who were mean to me when it wasn’t fair, like George Clooney who threw me in a pool a few years ago, I’m still holding a grudge. I want to thank the mums who take care of the babies and the children no matter where they come from. Those mums and parents never get thanked.”
Backstage afterwards, she’s equally as down-to-earth.
“We’re in the entertainment business, that’s what we do. I had the best time at the Razzies last night. It is what it is. It’s the great equalizer. Nothing ever lets me get too full of myself. They’ll sit side by side, maybe the Razzie will be on a different shelf, lower.”
