Dragon Age, yet no sign of either Baldur's Gate or Planescape: Torment is an utter travesty. Play more computer RPGs guys. Personally I would have included Super Mario 3. Better game than the too easy and less varied World in my book.

Where is FF7? Sim city? Tetris? Tekken? Fifa 14? NBA Jam? Fallout 3? Syphon Filter? Another World? Donky Kong/Diddy Kong? Crash Bandicoot? Mario 64? Golden Eye? Chaos? Chrono Trigger? San Andreas? Mortal Kombat 3? Final Fight or Golden Axe? Heavy Rain? Tomb Raider 1? Need for Speed? Grand Turismo? God of war?

They chose GTA 5 over San Andreas to represent the GTA series in whole

Chrono Trigger is there, it's "only" #2. Way to read the article before commenting.

I really do try not to post negative comments about opinion articles because everyone is entitled to their own. But I have to say- not one mention of any of the Baldur's Gate games or Jagged Alliance.... Are you out of your mind? Absolutely epic games that generated huge followings of loyal players that have consistently played their games of choice for years (SC2-for the likes) yet it doesnt even get into the top 20, or top 50 for that matter! Nonsense. Utter nonsense. Plus many of the other choices are dubious at best Go download a copy of BG2- it will change your opinion on the RPG genre, there is a remake that was released on GoG, there is also an ipad/android version. However I do recommend the PC version

Well, I played different ones for the last 10 years. The last one which really intrigued me was Wind of Luck. I actually never expected I'd be so much drawn into it. It's a ship battle game, with sea, pirates, allies and enemies with amazing graphics. I think anyone liking 'the Carribean pirates movie' would absolutely enjoy the game

I tried searching for Half-Life 1, the revolutionary FPS in the first 50 and then stopped.... I wonder if there's No One Lives Forever too... Cave Story is simply the best metroidvania game I've played.

There's a cool new zombie FPS for google play called Zombie Massacre War. It's a great game with tons of cool features, gameplay and add ons. I personally think its a pretty good recommendation. Here are some of the links: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.pepper.zombie&hl=en https://www.facebook.com/pages/Zombie-Massacre-War/493162607450960?fref=ts

You forgot the Legendary Metal Slug.
  • jdub599 - July 10, 2014 4:06 p.m.

What makes a game good? in my opinion, its how much fun you have while playing it. not the graphics, not the story. 1. super smash bros. 64 2. Worms Armageddon (PC) 3. Halo 1 (not anniversary, as it has no multiplayer) 4. minecraft 5. mario party 3 (64) 6. Zelda ocarina of time 7. mario kart wii 8. borderlands 2 9. castle crashers (xbox live arcade) 10. lego star wars its sad that around 90% of those games mentioned in his list are praised for their single player storyline. Offline multiplayer makes for the best gaming experience, and its something that has become lost in this online world. When i game alone, i don't smile. I stare blankly at my screen without moving for hours on end, when did that start being regarded as being "fun"?

Okay, Skyrim is SO much higher then 54. SOOOOOOO much better. Also Morrowind. And Oblivion could probably make it in the 90's. And though Mario kart 7 was great, I think there have been better versions. 7 is kind of buggy, and honestly it shouldn't be that high on the list. And I stand by Fallout. New Vegas was amazing and so was 3. I'm kind of disappointed that MW was on there. MW2 was worthy but not MW. And Dark Souls is the shit. It should be higher too. I know people would never agree with my list but I could do better. Minecraft would also make it higher. There would be millions of 10 year old boys knowing that Minecraft is only 91. Portal is good, but I don't know about number 1. Also FPS might have high ratings, but most of them are the same, so I might not even have one on there let alone 10. I would honest to Talos put Skyrim up higher. The back story man, the back story.

  • HipsterManGaming - July 5, 2014 9:20 p.m.

Thomas was Alone is seriously amazing game, shame it wasn't on here. (But thanks for putting Portal as #1)
