Beauty And The Beast 3D review

Disney's 1991 classic wasn't ideal for Imax and isn’t a perfect fit for 3D either; only ‘Be Our Guest’ and the ballroom swoop really benefit from a stereoscopic make-over that doesn’t do the hand-drawn remainder many favours. Yet any excuse to put it back in cinemas is fine by us.

Gary Trousdale and Kirk Wise’s re-telling of the French fairytale reaches a level of artistry, sophistication and musical excellence that’s still to be bettered by the Mouse House – or indeed its rivals.

Prefaced by exuberant short ‘Tangled Ever After’, this “tale as old as time” has life in it yet.
