    Walkthrough for lvl 1/3
lvl 1 : First, shoot down as many cylons as possible using cannons. It's not as hard as it looks, just use the cannon lead reticle. You want to save as much ship energy as possible so your missile firing times will be cut down when the cylons make their strafing runs on the bridge. After the cut scene, try to position yourself at midship above the Galactica, and approximately 300-700 meters above it. The approaching cylons will begin their attack run at 12, 10, and 9 o'clock. the ones at nine will come into range first. at this point your throttle should be as far back (slow) as possible, and it helps if you channel 1 extra unit into blast radius and energy respectively. Try to avoid targeting single targets w/more than one missile (because they are flying in formation, blast radii should overlap). Fire at the 9:00 group first (it's the first to come in range), then fire at the 12 o'clock group. (12 group should require 2 full missile salvos). Then, activate turbos briefly, putting you a small distance ahead of the Galactica's heading. When you turn around, you should have a visual (with missile lock activated; look for green targeting reticules). Use missiles to mop up what's left, keeping in mind energy and missile depletion.
CUTSCENE: The easiest way to do this, is first, take out as many cylons as you can w/ your cannon. There is no time limit for the first portion of the mission, and the more cylons you take out now, the less you'll have to take out flying high cover for Paulus. You'll reach a point where you haven't killed all the raiders, however, the ones that are left are at such a considerable distance away, that they pose no immediate threat to your viper. Next: Target the stationary cannons on the asteroids by cycling through targets. You can tell you've got one targeted by using match speed. Your indicator will show it has no velocity. Try to take out at least 5-7. Now use the y button to target the comm sats. MAKE SURE your energy level is at 100 before you blow the last one.
    CUTSCENE
Okay: Full turbos and catch up to about 1000-1500 meters behind Paulus. He should be at your 10 o'clock low and arcing back to your 6. (If the asteroid w/the shield passes by your port wing.) Use missiles and try to restrain your targeting to ony those raiders that are closest to his tail. Timing is everything here. Try to fire missiles only one or two at a time, with a lag of about 1-2 seconds between salvos, if there isn't a whole pack behind him. If there is, the only thing you can do is fire max salvos. This is occasionally effective, if you've got your timing down. Once you clear his tail, then you'll get the order to take out the shield generator that is orbiting the asteroid. At this point time starts to be an issue because of the damage your wingmates have sustained. The rest of the tasks have to be completed before they get shot down. Turbo into the generator's orbital path around the asteroid. You have to maintain a clear visual on it when targeting missiles, otherwise, when fired, they will attempt to pass through the asteroid's shield on the way to the target, and will prematurely detonate. Once you have it, target w/ 3 or four missiles and fire.
Now, I haven't counted them, but it looks like there are 8-10 Tylium deposits on the asteroid which have to be eliminated. I suggest flying away from the asteroid for 500 to 800 meters, so that a minimum of jinking is required to hit multiple targets. The closer you get, the more advisable it is to use cannons. Don't try to strafe along the surface: you'll only eat up time, and suffer collateral damage to your viper from either striking the surface or the ensuing explosions when you blow the deposits. Make a pass, tubo out, hit Y to locate the deposits, commence attack run- repeat- until all are blown. Don't blow the last one until your energy level is at least 40. Why? Because as soon as you blow the last one, you must pick a heading away from the asteroid, lay into your turbos, and get as far away from it as you can. (A safe distance readout will be displayed on yor HUD.) Level complete.
Anyway, I'm currently on lvl 13 and it's frustrating the hell out of me. I must be on my 20th time. I'll post more if you guys find it useful for the levels that gave me a hard time. The other thing is I'm using a Fox II Pro Thrustmaster joystick. (I don't care too much for the special moves). Control is a little easier that way. Also, I've gotten at least a bronze, but mostly silver medals on every level I've completed.
