Batman Arkham Knight Riddler guide and how to solve every challenge

Arkham Knight HQ Riddles

"Vengeance burns darkly inside the betrayed, as they stare at reminders of debts unpaid."

Solved in Arkham Knight HQ South. Check the back corner, bottom floor of the western sector to find this series of photos and scan them.

"With a fluffy white coat and ears standing tall, what burrowed the hole in which Alice did fall?"

When you take the first elevator down to Level 03, you'll be near these creepy rabbit-masked mannequins. Scan them to solve.

"A psychotic doctor who caught the fear bug, the fruits of his research: a powerful drug."

In the southern sector of Arkham Knight HQ south is a swarm of Scarecrow's fear bugs. Scan them to solve this riddle.

Level 01

Found when you grapple up to turn off the first fan. Turn around to see it on a workbench.

Level 01

In the same room, there's a locked door by the generator. Use the Remote Hacking Device to open it, revealing a Riddler puzzle. This one's not too bad. Hit the generator with the Remote Electrical Charge to send a spark moving through the tubes. You'll then have to hit the switch to adjust the green tubes (you can use the Charge for that too), guiding the spark to the trophy cage. Once it pops, you can grab it with the Batclaw.

Level 02

This puzzle will appear across the fan blades upon returning later in the game. Hitting the switch in the middle causes a cursor to move around the monitors; you want to time your throw to make it line up with the Riddler symbol. Do this three times to free the trophy.

Level 03

This puzzle will also appear when you return. Lower the Batmobile over the pressure pad to start the puzzle up, then use your guns to hit the switches and raise the bumpers, allowing the balls to roll to the bottom. After sending one down, you'll have to time your shots to guide two down in the same passing.

Level 03

This puzzle appears atop the lower blade when you return. It's pretty easy: you can use the Remote Hacking Device to make the cogs rotate, and the Riddler switch changes the direction of rotation. Guide the trophy ball to bottom - taking care not to dump it over the sides - to pick it up.

Level 05

Found in the elevator shaft of the first elevator - it makes more sense to get it now. Step out on Level 04, send the elevator up another floor, and drop down to grab it.

Level 04

When you leave the fan chamber, you'll spot a Riddler puzzle on the other side of a gate. To reach it, look for a vent just over the nearby alcove. It's an easy one to solve: just use varying pulses from the Remote Electrical Charge to guide the trophy ball to the prize slot.

Level 04

When you step onto the second elevator, send it up to find a cracked wall. Blow through with Explosive Gel to find a trophy on the other side.

Level 05

Immediately on the other side of the elevator door when you reach Level 05. Crawl through the vent above to get to it. It's a simple on to solve: just use varying pulses on the Remote Electrical Charge to guide the trophy to the prize hole.

This one shows up by the sentry gun if you return the area later in the game. Step onto the pressure pad to open the vent, use the Remote Hacking Device to shut off the gun temporarily, then quickly send a Remote Controlled Batarang through the vent to hit a switch at the far end. This will open a grate inside, letting you send a second Batarang through an electrical current that can be used to strike a circuit board in the same room as the turret. This will open the way, allowing you to grab the trophy and permanently disable the annoying gun.

Level 04

When you loop back around to Level 04 via the empty elevator shaft, look for a Riddler console. Use the Remote Hacking Device to open the shutter doors, step inside, and look down to see a second console. Use it to raise the bars blocking your way, and you'll be able to snag the trophy across the way with your Batclaw.

After the tunnel chase, you'll be at the other end of the headquarters. Check behind you as you grapple out of the cave for the first trophy down here.

To collect the remaining trophies in the area, you should probably return later in the game: the shutters will all be open, and new puzzles will appear, one of which can be found on the upper level of the western sector. Use varying pulses from the Remote Electrical Charge to guide the trophy ball to prize slot.

Check the lower level of the northern sector for a long bar counter. You can crawl underneath it to find a trophy.

In the back corner of the same area is a Riddler puzzle: a 'match two' memory game. Use the Remote Hacking Device to uncover eight pairs of symbols and free the trophy.

You'll find a shutter and a console in the eastern sector. Use the Remote Hacking Device to open the way to a Riddler puzzle. Shooting the generator with the Remote Electrical Charge creates two pulses that need to be guided to the trophy cage - the trick is using the Riddler switches to adjust the tubes on each side. Expect this one to take a few tries.

Nestled in the ceiling of the bottom floor of the southern sector.

In the back corner, top floor of the southern sector is a shutter and a console. Use the Remote Hacking Device to open it up, revealing another puzzle. There are two sentry guns guarding a pressure pad, and a Riddler bot. Use the Remote Hacking Device to temporarily shut off one, then use the Voice Synthesizer to have the bot dismantle the other. Hop on that pad and snatch up that trophy with the Batclaw.

Level 02

The destructible objects in this area are the Knight's little spider drones, found crawling along walls. The first is directly above the Batmobile winch anchor point by the fan. Blast it with the Remote Electrical Charge.

The second drone is on a wall adjacent to the balcony on the upper ledge.

The third is crawling on a sign above the fan itself.

On the opposite side of the fan chamber, just above the second set of fan blades.

High on a wall next to the first operable elevator.

Can be seen on a wall as you leave the fan chamber.

On a back wall in the Briefing Room - the first room you enter on Level 05.

In the hallway leading back to the giant fan.

When you loop back up to the level above, this will be crawling in the empty elevator shaft.
