Watching the latest classic Doctor Who DVD got us wondering – are there any worse SF & fantasy haircuts than the miners in "Monster Of Peladon" had to endure? Here’s your answer

Affectionately known by the production team as "the badger look", the haircuts foisted on the miners of Peladon were a unique combination of afro and humbugs, with a hairline that started at the eyebrows. Many of the miners looked like the result of Tom Jones being run over on a zebra crossing. Although they could probably get away with riding a motorbike without a helmet.
