How to Hit a Whole Lot Better with Steph

Just don't bat opened with Stephanie Morgan. Square up with her. I tried it my whole season and she ended up with 22 homers. I did another season with her batting opened and she only hit 3 homers, 1 of which was with an aluminum power bat.

Easy Homers

First, pick your teams and choose your field. Make sure you have Kiesha Phillips, Barry Bonds, or Sammy Sosa on your team. If possible pick them all. When they come up to bat, choose line-drive. Then, move your curser down below the strike zone. The opposing pitcher will normally pitch the ball high. When he releases the ball, move the curser up again. If you hit it, it's either going to go far, or be a really long homer.

Turn a double play to get a special hit when you go to bat.

To Slide

To slide, click numerous times right before you get to a base. Sometimes it helps to get to the base faster and avoiding getting out. (Works best on second and third base.)

Easy Homers/Strategize Fielding

Note: This can be done in either season or single game mode.
When you pick your field, choose Steele Stadium. It has a shallow center field which is great for your Home Run hitters like Pablo Sanchez, Ken Griffey Jr., Mark McGwire, Sammy Sosa,etc.
But sometimes it can backfire so when you are pitching and you see the batter in the middle batting stance, at the top left corner, there is a picture of a field with some gloves for the positions. Either click above the mid outfielder to make everyone go back or click left of the left outfielder or right of the right outfielder to get 2 guys close to the middle. But watch you for batters that are in the left or right batting stance. They can send a line drive down the 3rd or 1st base line where no one is at!

Pablo's Sweet Spot

All you need is Pablo at bat and when the ball is pitched, if the ball is on the inside of the plate don't swing. If the ball is pitched on the middle or outside of the plate the ball is usually gone.

Power Up Hints and How to Get Locked Stadiums

Ok, first of all the powerups. They'll give you funky pitches/swings.
1)If you strike someone out, you'll get a pitching powerup.
2)If you get a double play you will get a hitting powerup that will show up when you go in to bat like the pitching ones.
3)If you make a dive catch you'll usually receive a powerup. I can't say for what because I've gotten hitting and pitching for that.
4)Once in a while if you hit or catch a powerup pitch or hit, you might get a powerup, its happened to me a couple of times. :)

To get one of the locked stadiums, just make it to, and I believe win, the World Series. For the second one (Aquadome), You have to hit the ball into the swamp at Gator Flats, into the pond at Frazier Field, and into the pool at Steele Stadium .(You can do this on, quick play, season mode, or homerun derby.)

The ultimate team is: Catcher=Pablo(Batting 8); 1st Base=Kiesha(Batting 6); 2nd Base=Pete(Batting 1); 3rd Base=A-Rod(Batting 2); Short Stop=Derek Jeter(Batting 9); Right Field=Sammy Sosa(Batting 5); Center Field=Ichro(Batting 3); Left Field=Barry Bonds(Batting 4); and Pitcher=Randy Johnson(Batting 7)

Just trust me! Randy Johnson is batting 7th when you think he should be batting 9th. If he was batting 9th, you would most likly get out with him. With Jeter at 9th, he will get on base more often and will set up Pete Wheeler for a possible RBI.

Leading and Stealing

To Lead:

Before you select your bat press "y"+ Control Pad to the base you want to lead to.
Example: y+ cont.pad up^ = lead to second

Note: Press again to lead further- just be careful not to get picked off!

To Steal:

Before you select your bat press "A" + Control Pad to the base you want to steal.
Example: A+ cont. pad up^ = steal second.

Pick Off a Runner

To pick off a runner:

Before or after you select your pitch point
C Stick to the base you want to pick the runner off at.
Example: C Stick right= pick off to first.

Note: Keep an eye on the runner's progress at the top left part of the screen on the base diagram.

Cool Tip: When there are runner's on first and third, the runner on first almost always takes a big lead- a pick off attempt to first in this situation is almost a sure out and most of the time you even get a power-up for batting/pitching!!

Batting Stance

To adjust your batter's batting stance:

Press "R" to make your batter move right.
Press "L" to make your batter move left.

You can do this as many times as you want and can set your batter's stance back to normal.
