Assassin's Creed II – Feathers and treasure chests guide

UPDATED: Find every last scrap of hidden cash and eagle detritus in all five of the game’s cities

Feathers in the Cannaregio District:

District map:

Above: Click the image for the full-sized version

CR1: On top of a stone arch connecting two buildings.

CR2: On top of a striped pole in the middle of a narrow canal that leads out to sea.

CR3: On a beam sticking out of a building directly across the street from an art dealer.

CR4: On a beam suspended above a narrow alley.

CR5: On a beam overlooking the sea.

CR6: On another beam overlooking the sea, this one next to a wooden balcony.

CR7: On a beam above an alleyway; if you see three conspicuous barrels on the ground, you’re pretty close.

CR8: On a beam connected to a wooden platform, hanging above a bridge.

CR9: On top of a crane.

And there's yet another sprawling, crazy collect-a-thon concluded. If you’ve got all 100 feathers at this point, all that’s left is to take the feathers back to Ezio’s mother’s room in the Villa Auditore at Monteriggioni.  Once you turn in 50, you’ll be rewarded with the right to buy the Condottiero hammer, which is extremely expensive, but powerful and necessary to finish your weapons collection. And once you’ve handed in all 100, you’ll be rewarded with the Auditore Cape and its ability to make you Notorious in any city.

Above: Just try not to shriek “THAT’S IT!?” too loudly when you’re done

Mr. Reparaz, you are a prince. I'll definitely be using this. Will you be able to pick this stuff up after the initial playthrough? Captcha: squire Rolls-Royces (ha)

@WonsAuto: Yes. You can roam freely once you've finished the game. @lucashintz: Prego.

Thanks a lot, I know this must take a lot of work,

Quick note - although it says "videos" in the intro, those aren't quite ready yet. We should have them up sometime later this afternoon, though.

I swear, every single time I check back into my favorite game site, I see a journal I had just been thinking about YouTubing. Halo ODST's audio logs, Uncharted 2's treasures, and now Assassin's Creed 2's everything guide! I. Am so happy for GamesRadar existing. Thanks Mikel. Woah, it's Mikel, not Michael.

Ah hell, wish I didn't have to wait until Friday for this. At least MW2 on veteran and multiplayer will keep me truckin'....

You're a life-saving maestro of guide-iness. I've only got 4 feathers left to go, but they're in Venice. So I'll be awaiting that next segment. And I absolutely must know. What does the Auditore cape do?

Cool thanks so much for the info but i do have one question and the answer is probablly staring me right in the face..how in the Wolrd do you get the treasure chest in the upper left hand corner of the screen at MONTERIGGIONI? I figured out that the one showing in the main house and you have to have the well upgraded but the upper left one has me stumped its not at top of the tower

this is great and all but I want to know about the 20 hidden symbols that are puzzles themselves
  • raist - November 19, 2009 2:19 p.m.

The hidden symbols are basically the hidden glyphs that you saw at the end of the first game. When you see the info icon pop up with the assassins eye there is one there they are hidden though i have found a couple of them and then you ahve to solve riddles in themselves to get a activation code that you can unlock more extras out of game stuff though

god damn it !!! my copy arrived today but ive got the yellow light of death thing on my ps3 and im going to have to wait like 4 weeks to play it :(
  • GamesRadarMikelReparaz - November 19, 2009 6:41 p.m.

@raist: I think that one becomes accessible when you renovate the mines. The entrance is on the north side of the outer walls, behind where the villa is. @lnksmartt: We're working on it. Our hidden-glyphs guide, with puzzle solutions, should be up tomorrow. Your patience is appreciated.
  • lnksmartt - November 19, 2009 9:04 p.m.

@GamesRadarMikelReparaz: thanks, GamesRadar does great work as always
  • lnksmartt - November 19, 2009 9:06 p.m.

@raist: I'm not having trouble finding them, it's solving the puzzles that's getting me, but thanks I thought they looked familiar
