With Jason Bateman out and about promoting superhero comedy Hancock, he’s in prime position to also talk about a project dear to the hearts of anyone who followed the misadventures of the Bluth family: the Arrested Development movie.
MTV asked him about it and Bateman is now saying that a suitably twisted, film-centric story has been written and the entire cast and creator Mitchell Hurtwitz want to make it happen. The only trouble? Money worries. The show had a niche appeal and no one wants to spend millions making something that might only appeal to the hardcore. Still, it’ll be better than 93.5% of the comedies out there, so we say take the risk!
