Cloud and Bayonetta amiibo are about to battle for your shelf space

Wave 4

Announced in January 2015, these amiibo continue to fill out the Super Smash Bros. roster, including entries from Fire Emblem, EarthBound, Pokémon, and more. Oh, did I mention EarthBound? Because EarthBound!!!

Greninja

The sly ninja Pokemon with a great sense of fashion, Greninja's introduction into Super Smash Bros for Wii U was met with a ton of fan enthusiasm. We can only suspect his amiibo will get the same reaction, and you may have to bite someone at the check-out counter to get your hands on him. Greninja is a Toys R Us exclusive in the US.

It's also one of the last two characters from the original Smash Bros to get its own amiibo, alongside its wave-mate Ness, so you can get the full N64 collection when Wave 4 hits. Jigglypuff is a Target exclusive in the US.

Robin

Robin is the customizable playable character from Fire Emblem: Awakening, and his/her gender, appearance, and age can be tailored to the player's liking. Of course, that level of customizability is a bit absurd for a plastic toy, so Nintendo went with the default white-haired male used in Super Smash Bros.

She also beats the pants off the competition in Super Smash Bros.

Pac-Man

Pac-Man started as a two-dimensional pizza post-slice and turned into a worldwide phenomenon, starring in cartoon shows, inspiring hit songs, and even spreading his very own disease. Now, you can take him for a spin in Nintendo's seminal brawler. I've got a fever, and the prescription is more Pac-Man.

Ness

OK, OK, calm down, calm down. If you're as big an EarthBound fan as I am, this is a big deal, as this marks the first time any official merchandise from the cult hit RPG has been made available in North America. With his signature ball cap and striped shirt, Ness is ready for whatever Giygas throws at him. Ness is a technically a GameStop exclusive in the US, but these days you're more likely to find him at an online retailer like Amazon.

Charizard

The latest Pokémon to hit the amiibo line-up, Charizard is one of the biggest and heaviest hitters from the original 151 pocket monsters. The final evolution of starter Pokémon Charmander, Charizard might as well be classified as a weapon of mass destruction, what with his powerful claws and fire breath. Why they just let kids hang on to these guys, I'll never know.
