Amazon suggests early 2014 launch for Destiny beta

A newly updated Amazon product listing appears to confirm that a Destiny beta will launch in early 2014. It says the upcoming beta will run on PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, and that it’ll be available to customers who pre-order the title while beta codes last. It also notes that the offer will be extended to all existing pre-orders.

Plans to offer Destiny beta access to pre-order customers at select retailers were seemingly first uncovered by Reddit users earlier this week, although publisher Activision opted not to comment when we approached the company.

Yesterday, Bungie revealed the Destiny box art. It also confirmed plans to launch a new gameplay trailer today and make some “exciting announcements” about the title. Scheduled for release in 2014 on current and next-gen consoles, Destiny is Bungie's first post-Halo game.

Sucks there is no PC version of the game. Until there is, I'm not giving a flying fuck about this game!

Boo... Hopefully they open up the beta at some point to people who don't preorder.
