If you love the alternative music mash that is All Tomorrow's Parties, prepare to get very excited at the news that the festival film is celebrating its DVD release with a screening tour and live gig series.
From 23rd October, ATP will be screening in several cities around the country and the tour will also boast appearances from the likes of Les Savy Fav and Team Brick.
It's all thanks to the first attempts at such an event tied to the movie: "Following the success of the UK premiere and Future Cinema event with Mogwai performing during the Edinburgh Film Festival, we decided to programme a tour that combines the big screen with live music, an event that’s in keeping with the independent and celebratory spirit of the festival," says producer Luke Morris.
"We wanted to allow audiences an opportunity to experience film and music in an innovative and uplifting context.”
The tour dates are:
Thur Oct 15 – Hull, Adelphi (with Gravenhurst)
Fri Oct 23 – Manchester Deaf Institute (with Les Savy Fav)
Sat Oct 24 – Glasgow ABC 2 (with Les Savy Fav) Sat Oct 24 - Brighton Duke of York (midnight show as part of ‘White Nights’, with live bands tbc) Mon Oct 26 – London Forum (with Les Savy Fav) Tue Oct 27 – Leeds TJ’s Woodhouse Club (with Les Savy Fav)
