Beowulf: The Film will be out in November, and will be sharing a publicity budget with a Game of the same name. The film is produced by Robert Zemeckis (this isnt the last Zemeckis reference in this weeks Trailer Trash - youve been warned), and features an all star cast including Angelina Jolie, John Malkovitch, Anthony Hopkins, Crispin Glover, and others. This trailer for the game, however, stars a sword falling into a puddle over and over while some repetitive-looking

Were in for one of the hottest winters on record, and not just because of global warming. The sheer quantity and quality of games coming out before January completely boggles the mind.
Nothing, however, is as huge or important as the release of Halo 3 this September. The trilogy capper to one of the most successful videogaming franchises of all time is almost guaranteed commercial success. Okay, okay, it is guaranteed. But just because Halo 3 will be the biggest seller doesn't

The denizens of underwater dystopia Rapture have always had it tough without having to worry about some downed pilot coming in to inject mysterious liquid in his wrists so he can shoot bees at their neighbors. The GamesRadar interns have seized upon this idea and crafted another marvelous short film, poking fun at what really goes on in BioShocks city of artists - not to mention what really gets the Big Daddy angry. The videos only about a minute long, so check it out.

PSP is getting an exclusive Brian Lara game this summer - and we've got the first trailer of the game in action for you to enjoy. The game will feature a fully licensed ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 mode, but Codemasters has also included a 'Pressure Play mission mode' which cuts the game into bitesize chunks more suited to handheld play.
Among these challenges will be 'bowl an over with no extras' and 'hit six successive sixes within five overs'. Not too difficult
EA has had its hands slapped over a recent Burnout Dominator (PS2, PSP) ad that appeared on the London Underground thanks to the creative slogan "Inner peace through outer violence." That and an image of a crumpled car.
The BBC reports that the Advertising Standards Authority ordered the London Tube poster not to be used after receiving 37 complaints.
EA is reported to have said that the poster was obviously for a videogame and that the ad would not be seen to support actual violence.
The word "free" makes any deal a good deal, so when EA throws two new courses for Burnout Dominator on the 'net for you to download for free, you really can't complain.
Carnival Point is one of the new courses, available to download now directly to your PSP memory card, with Red Gate to follow on June 7.
You can grab the wares through the menu screens of the game (while in range of a wireless internet connection) or take your PC browser to the official site here for a direct download. Then
An overwhelming majority of gamers are male, so it makes perfect sense for every marketing team in the world to target their software at young guys. And what do all men ages 18 to one zillion love? Girls, gore and big loud machines. If they could make a game about a firefighting bikini squad that hunts down zombies in a decked-out sex/fire truck, world peace would be declared. But until that day, we have to settle with regular old T & A.
Developers are well aware of this, so occasionally

Retro classic Boulder Dash is heading for DS and PSP with the cleverly-titled Boulder Dash Rocks, complete with a new look. Now, although we haven't seen a diamond prospector in the flesh, we don't reckon they look like aliens (see below). Never mind though - at least Rockford's big head will make him look like that classic sprite we used to love on the Spectrum.
The first game started life as a home console game in 1984 and was ported to arcades shortly afterwards when the
Of all the major sports, baseball might just be the least accessible as a gaming experience. Between obscure laws like the infield fly rule and knowing what pitch is best to throw in a 2-1 count, it's just not that easy to pick up and play.
That's probably what 2K Sports and Visual Concepts were thinking when they thought up The Bigs, a new baseball title that aims to be an accessible, arcade-style experience. Now we've got some new details and screenshots to share with
All you role players and Japanophiles out there have something to get excited about this week, besides the vernal equinox. Publisher XSEED announced that they are bringing three new RPGs, released in Japan last year, to the North American market later this year. Here's the scoop on these transpacific titles:
Dungeon Maker: Hunting Ground (PSP)
Imagine a bizarre cross-breeding of Diablo and Viva Pinata, and you've got a good idea of what to expect from Dungeon Maker. As the Architect, you
