At a recent press event in San Francisco, Nippon Ichi Software producer Souhei Niikawa reported that from now on, NIS will limit the number of titles they release each year. “We are doing this to improve the game quality, and also to increase the customer satisfaction. The games that have been showcased here tonight were strictly selected and developed with this new policy,” explained Niikawa.
The introduction was followed by the announcement of two promising new titles for the PSP: Z.H.P., and Cladun: This is an RPG. We’ve got screenshots and trailers for both titles – and if you’re a Disgaea or JRPG fan, trust us. You should watch these hilarious trailers…
About a month ago Konami revealed Castlevania Puzzle: Encore of the Night for the iPhone. As a lifelong Castlevania fan, I immediately thought "Christ, here we go," but after looking at the details and now watching this new trailer, there's a strong chance this may not be the casual cash-in we all took it for.
We sort of thought the Guinness Book of World Records was a collection of definite, measurable achievements. Like, that's pretty much everything it represents... or not - the latest edition of the Guinness Gamers' Edition contains a list of the top 50 game series, not by total sales or anything factual like that, but as determined by a poll. It's horrific.

Impractical? Maybe. Overpriced? Definitely. But this new Super Mario World hard drive from 8BitMemory looks amazing. For $149.99, you can get a 500 GB Toshiba external hard drive encased in a classic Super Mario World SNES cartridge chassis.
If you’re not a big Super Mario World fan, the retailer takes custom orders...
Good news for Zangief fans, shmup Cho Aniki Zero is coming to PSP via PSN! If you only understood most of the words in that sentence, a little explanation is in order. While the Cho Aniki (Super Big Brothers, roughly) series hasn’t exactly reached the same level of name recognition as say, Mario, it remains fairly well-known amongst gamers, as it’s a great example of something so Japanese your head implodes the first time you see it.
Far Cry developer Crytek is famous for setting the graphical standard of the generation with its stupidly gorgeous Cry Engine 2, which powers its icy jungle FPS Crysis.
We're sure you'll be a bit surprised to see a job ad on its official website then, advertising for a PSP programmer to work in its Budapest office. We don't think they're going to get high-dynamic range lighting working on that machine...

According to Variety, the movie will be written by Paul 'Resident Evil' Anderson and directed by Sylvain White. Who made 'I'll Always Know What You Did Last Summer.' Nice to see Crystal Sky is investing its money wisely, there.

Vivendi has formally revealed its new Crash Bandicoot adventure, Mind over Mutant, which will be out on Xbox 360, Wii, PS2, PSP and DS at the end of the year. Check out 360 screens here.
In a blatant parody of the iPhone craze, the story has a rejuvenated Neo Cortex taking over the world with a, "text-messaging, do-anything device which controls both mutant and bandicoot minds."
The new game apparently takes a more
