In the old days, US Army recruitment meant a patriotic poster of a top-hatted man with an accusingly pointing finger.
Now, in the digital age, something a little more subtle is required. Something is needed to teach the young of the US why mottled brown with splashes of red really is this season's new look.

Interweb whispers currently suggest that work is underway on a PS2 and Xbox game starring 50 Cent (or around 26p at today's exchange rate).
It's not clear at present who's publishing or even developing the game, although we have heard that the never-knowingly-unshot Cent is writing an original soundtrack for the title.
As for the gameplay, it's said to be extremely adult in tone, with no shortage of violence and, as you'd imagine, lots of guns. In addition to Curtis himself, there is also

Whatever you thought of - and six million people liked it enough to part with hard cash for it - it had one gapping flaw. You weren't Neo. Instead of the movie's all-powerful hero, you had to play some Equity-carded extra who'd once been seen sipping tea in the background as Zion burned. But that isn't the route that Atari are taking with The Matrix Path of Neo. This Shiny-developed time-splitter will follow the famed floppy-haired fop through all of the key scenes of the, now tarnished,
Just as we were beginning to worry that the Xbox version of Doom 3 and the PC expansion pack, Resurrection of Evil, wouldn't see release for months - following yesterday's news that they had - it's been confirmed today that both games will hit shelves on 4 April.Until now, we had only a vague idea as to when either game would be released, with developers id maintaining their characteristic "they're ready when they're ready" stance. The original was released in August and, despite some players
From just below the bottom line of a financial report so dull that it could take all the enamel off your teeth, comes the rather exciting news that Activision are planning a pair of follow-ups to their huge selling and rippingly good fun PC shooter, Call of Duty, and its console cousin, .Pencilled in to appear in the next financial year - so between April 2005 and March 2006 - the pair of shooting sequels have been confirmed by the grandest of all the fromages at Activision, Mr Ron
After World War II, mouthy but endearingly furry sidekicks and cel-shading, the latest trend in gaming seems to be for multiple playable characters. Or games where groups of heroes share the lead role, giving the gamer their own unique view of the story. Core Design's Project Eden first attempted it a few years ago but, since then, we've seen Metal Gear Solid 2 divide the battles between Raiden and Snake and soon Killer 7 will be here to do the same - but with multiple personalities. Which in a
Tying in with the June release of the film, Batman Begins dips a clawed toe into the Dark Knight's even murkier past. Focusing on the brutal butchery of Bruce Wayne's parents, the plot of the movie and the game hinges on the dramatic moment that turned the little chap from millionaire brat into millionaire bat. As you can see from these new screens, the game also follows the film series in its ever-gloomier downward spiral, starring American Psycho's Christian Bale alongside those paragons of
Who cares that so far Episodes I and II have made Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure look like Citizen Kane because for the first time in about a decade, the Star Wars games are living up to expectations. After and with and already on the horizon, Star Wars Episode III Revenge of the Sith could finally be the game to put all those still-traumatic memories of Super Bombad Racing to rest with its mixture of sabre-rattling moves and fatal-Force powers. Which luckily, are both featured rather
