Take a look at the upcoming street racing title Grid 2, as the developers show off three of the game's, intense, fast-paced races...
We traveled to Codemasters' Southam HQ to try out the multiplayer modes of GRID 2. They let us record the action too, so come and watch as we try to snatch victory from the people who made the game. That's probably going to end as well as you'd expect...
Here's everything you need to know about GRID 2 from Codemasters, from the new single-player modes revealed so far through to the online mode and more...
Incomparable game-making legend Jeff Minter popped into the office the other day to show us his latest game, Gridrunner Revolution. We like Jeff Minter. He's been making games since the early 80s. That's a long time. His games have always been different. This is a good thing given that so many games try their hardest to be exactly the same as other games. Which isn't very imaginative when you stop and think about it.
Thankfully, Jeff
Publisher NIS America revealed GrimGrimoire to the world about a month ago, and since then we've spent quite a bit of time getting to know its rules and realms. What we said earlier still stands - it's an RTS at heart, complete with resource-grabbin' underlings and progressively powerful units, but it all takes place from the side, not overhead. So, instead of zooming out to see the whole battlefield or scanning a large area, you scroll around a 2D landscape in search of your objectives.

Something got lost among all the big next-gen RPG fanfare from Square-Enix last week - an unexpected announcement from Atlus that a new PS2 Growlanser game is making its way stateside. Growlanser is one of Atlus's premiere series in Japan (alongside the venerable Shin Megami Tensei franchise), and while the now-defunct Working Designs handled the English translation and publishing duties for the second and third installments, Atlus themselves are going to be bringing Heritage of War over to our
If there's one thing Wii's launch games have covered, it's gotta be variance. Pretty much any genre you can think of is represented in some way, even the gear-headed, customize-your-ride racer. GT Pro Series throws more than 80 licensed cars your way, each with tweakable options that you've seen in plenty of games up to this point. So what's the angle with this one? Well, a free steering wheel is a pretty cool bonus.

A big 'welcome back' to the lunatic developer SimBin. Not because it's been away for long - the moon has barely waned since its last racing title appeared, classic touring car racer GT Legends - but because it's a lunatic.
Where most are happy to fake those sexy, glowing brake discs with a bit of judicious orange, SimBin has linked disc colour directly to accurately modelled temperature maps based on friction, mass and grip.
The result is a strokabley real-looking

We were starting to think Sega forgot about the Saturn with all its remakes and re-releases of Genesis and Dreamcast games. Some Gen-Xer at Sega must have at last reminded the execs there was a whole other system to reap profit from. Luckily, Saturn’s classic hack-n-slasher Guardian Heroes is finding an HD home on the XBLA later this year. Hipster snark aside, the fact that this updated version is being remade by original developer Treasure is a blessing to those of you fortunate enough to remember Heroes' blistering combat. Those who didn't experience the Saturn classic, well, your day in the sun is here...
