Sweeney has been selected as the 16th inductee into the
Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) Hall of Fame. Set
to be made official during the 2012 D.I.C.E. Summit this February, the
honor will see Sweeney rewarded for his contributions to gaming,
including his development of the Unreal Engine and his hand in
creating some of gaming's most memorable franchises.

Uncharted 3 looks like it's on its way to be the biggest game in the series yet, putting up impressive sales numbers since it launched last month. In an interview with IndustryGamers, Asad Quizilbash, product marketing manager for Uncharted 3, went into some details about the series' sales on the whole, and revealed that the Uncharted franchise has shipped over 13 million copies around the world, making it one of the more popular new IPs of this console generation. Sony has released US pricing
details for the proprietary memory cards to be used by the
PlayStation Vita. The cards will cost you $29.99 for 4GB, $44.99 for
8GB, $69.99 for 16GB or $119.99 for 32GB high-rollers. This is comparable with Sony's own pricing on the PSP's Memory Stick storage – which is lucky, as you won't be able to do much
The Version 1.02 patch for
Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception has gone live in US and EU
territories, with Asian territories to share the update in the next few
days. The patch addresses a number of minor issues, but the big
change is to the single player game's aiming mechanics. At the behest
of fans, it's now possible to choose between Uncharted 3's aiming
style and that of the previous games...
Sony may be close to announcing
a Super Smash Bros-esque ensemble fighter for PS3, according to reports
culled from inside sources and wayward tweets. The game,
codenamed Title Fight, is rumored be in development by SuperBot
Entertainment and star the likes of Twisted Metal's Sweet Tooth, God
of War's Kratos, Uncharted's Nathan Drake, Sly Cooper, and Jak & Daxter.
Early details of the unconfirmed game
first popped up on the Paul Gale Network site at the beginning of November.
According to Gale's contacts, the fighter will play much like
Nintendo's Super Smash Bros series in that it will pit a collection of
Sony's most famous mascots against each other...
