Atlus has released so many R-Type Command screenshots we'll soon have enough to build our own interstellar space port. And with these new shots that have released, an annex will be added on in due course too.

More lasers and enemy swarms fill the screens of these latest shots of the R-Type series strategy spin-off for PSP - R-Type Command. PSP will be the home of the next R-Type game, titled R-Type Tactics, reveals the latest issue of Famitsu magazine.
Firm gameplay details are yet to be revealed, but the word 'Tactics' in the title suggests it being some sort of turn-based strategy battle game, a theory supported by one of the screens in a blurry photo of the magazine. Just look to the right at the screen above the black box - that looks like a grid-based battle system to us.

The sequel to last year's decent WTCC game Race is almost upon us, and we've been taking the work-in-progress Alpha version for a quick trip around the block. A few things have changed since last year - there are now 3D spectators at the edge of the track, which the developer admits aren't going to win any awards under scrutiny, but they help the atmosphere a little.
There's also a helmet cam, which lets you see through the eyes of your driver, and remove tear-off strips

Put pedal to the metal! Or something. SimBin's released a demo of its PC racing sim Race 07: Official WTCC Game, which features two tracks and online multiplayer that supports up to 24 petrol heads.
Anderstorp, Sweden and Brands Hatch, UK, are the tracks in question, and the cars available include the BMW E90 and the Seat, along with the Formula 3000 class.

This May, the PSP will get yet another racer in the form of Race Driver 2006. But while it's entering a crowded field with a generic-sounding title, Race Driver looks like a promising speedway simulator.
