Atlus has released so many R-Type Command screenshots we'll soon have enough to build our own interstellar space port. And with these new shots that have released, an annex will be added on in due course too.

Atlus is going mental with all these R-Type Command screenshots, lately. It's almost like it's shouting "LOOK AT OUR GAME" but without words. See for yourself.

But we are looking. It looks great. So does the playable demo on the US PSN Store for PC.

How much longer ‘til May 6? Just long enough for Atlus to tease us with more new R-Type Command screens.

This new batch introduces three types of R-Type Command units, one good, one enemy and a special type that take up a lot of room on the battlefield. We’ve got the press blurb on each so scroll down for a full briefing.

Not content with beating us down with its brutal difficulty level in arcades and consoles, the R-Type series is making a move towards the tactical RPG genre, one turn at a time. We just scored some shiny new screenshots of R-Type Command and so far, they’re looking pretty sweet. R-Type Command is currently scheduled to release on May 6.

More lasers and enemy swarms fill the screens of these latest shots of the R-Type series strategy spin-off for PSP - R-Type Command. Strategy fans might be looking at R-Type Command with keen eyes, while traditional shooter fans take a back step from the series strategy U-turn, but all those bullets, space ships and space backgrounds get our shoot-'em-up-loving brains tingling. You can download a playable demo of the game from the US

PSP will be the home of the next R-Type game, titled R-Type Tactics, reveals the latest issue of Famitsu magazine. Firm gameplay details are yet to be revealed, but the word 'Tactics' in the title suggests it being some sort of turn-based strategy battle game, a theory supported by one of the screens in a blurry photo of the magazine. Just look to the right at the screen above the black box - that looks like a grid-based battle system to us. We'd hope that the traditional shoot-'em-up

Electronic Arts have confirmed that the Gamecube version of R: Racing - the latest game in Namco's Ridge Racer series - will come packaged with Pac-Man Vs when it's released in the UK in March. This update of the classic maze game offers link-up play between Gamecube and GBA for up to four players and, to the surprise of many, was the focal point of Nintendo's press event at last year's E3 trade show. While one player uses the Game Boy Advance to control Pac-Man as he munches as many pills as

Friday 27 July 2007 The sequel to last year's decent WTCC game Race is almost upon us, and we've been taking the work-in-progress Alpha version for a quick trip around the block. A few things have changed since last year - there are now 3D spectators at the edge of the track, which the developer admits aren't going to win any awards under scrutiny, but they help the atmosphere a little. There's also a helmet cam, which lets you see through the eyes of your driver, and remove tear-off strips

This May, the PSP will get yet another racer in the form of Race Driver 2006. But while it's entering a crowded field with a generic-sounding title, Race Driver looks like a promising speedway simulator. Developed by the minds behind the TOCA series, Race Driver will feature 60-plus racing circuits, more than 50 cars and wireless multiplayer for up to 10 drivers. It looks great in motion, too, as you'll see in the official trailer Codemasters sent us; the visuals look sharp and the action
