I Am Alive is... alive! Since the first information on Ubisoft's adventure title was released a few years back, the publisher has kept news on the game very, very quiet. Its lack of a showing at trade shows and conventions lead many to believe that it had simply been cancelled. That's actually not the case, according to Ubisoft. Instead, the publisher has reworked the game, and is not only moving forward with it, but it's gunning for a 'winter' release for the Xbox Live Arcade and PlayStation Network...

It appears digital piracy is to blame for I Am Alive's all-but-confirmed PC snub. Or, hell, you could just start out with a guide to most every old-school graphic adventure ever made, presumably launching Hardcore Reading About Gaming 101 in the process.

Kurt Kalata's Guide to Classic Graphic Adventures bills itself...

Praise sweet zombie Jebus. We don't have to run any more 'ICO/Colossus rumoured for PS3 HD bundle' stories ever again. Huzzah! The rumours of the HD remakes of the PS2 classics have been floating around the land of the interwebs for months now and in this month's issue of Famitsu, the mag confirms they're happening. Interestingly, though, it's listed both games separately, which means you might yet be able to buy one or the other if you just want to murder massive monsters rather than drag a princess around by the hand like a small child throwing a strop. Head inside for the European box art...
