By the time you read this, Microsoft's big pre-E3 media spiel will be over. One of the highlights of said speech, we're told, will be a huge chunk of in-game action from Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation. Assuming you weren't there (considering the state of this year's E3, you weren't), there's no way to glimpse the smoke-choked footage save for some blogger's grainy shaky-cam. Or, you could watch it here first, a good 12 hours before anyone else has it.

Chances are you've already settled into the cockpit and taken the game for a test flight thanks to a demo that's available on Xbox Live.
If not, it's a graphically impressive flight combat sim, featuring numerous aircraft and six conflicts to tie up your trigger finger.
Developer Namco Bandai has also taken it upon itself to

Weekly Xbox 360 sales jumped phenomenally in Japan during the week ended November 4 to outsell Sony's rival next-gen console.
The latest data from Media Create shows that weekly Xbox 360 sales rose from 3,718 to 17,673, while PS3 sales fell slightly to 17,434. The rise in 360 sales is most likely attributable to the successful release of Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation, which sold almost 80,000 copies in its first week on sale to enter the Japanese software chart at No2.

Ace Combat 6 has seen steady DLC ever since its release late last year. Up until now, however, most of that content has been in the form of decal or paint changes to existing planes. Today we can confirm four new downloadable maps will arrive on February 28, plus five new sky-splitting jets. Screaming through the night sky in a state-of-the-art jet fighter is a thrill that has so far eluded the Xbox 360. But aspirant pilots will soon get their chance, as leaked images of Ace Combat 6: Kaiho e no Senbi have appeared, and it's coming exclusively to the 360. Funny thing, these internet scans - we were about to announce the game on Thursday. Well, don't worry. We're going to have exclusive screens and a weeklong look at the entire Ace Combat series, including part six, in the coming
Yesterday the series of tubes that is the internets was abuzz with news that Ace Combat 6 would be appearing on 360. Today we can confirm that news, and the US release is currently slated for some time this fall (we'll bet it's the holiday, what do you think?). More important than that old news, however, are the first screens of the game in action, available up there on the Images tab.
You've probably read a bit on various websites about Ace's "Dynamic Operation System" and the confirmed Xbox
Being the insatiable Ace Combat fans that we are, Namco saw fit to invite us out to its Japanese headquarters to talk with the newest Ace team. Well, they're not quite new, as many of the members have been involved with series for some time. We spoke with producer Hiroyuki Ichiyanagi, director Natsuki Isaki and sound director Nakanishi Tetsukazu, three men well versed in all things Ace Combat.

You are the team leader of an elite corps of mercenaries - fighter pilots hired to strike where NATO air forces have failed.
It's the summer of 1995. The whole world is eyeballing Sony's PlayStation, a machine that's supposed to somehow topple videogame giants Sega and Nintendo. While Sega digs its own grave with a rocket-powered backhoe, Nintendo sticks to its guns in all the wrong ways, leaving Sony with a free, open road to success. Part of that initial

Along with a whale's buttload of gorgeous new screens for Ace Combat 6, Namco Bandai has released some tidbits of info on new tactics available for couch-mounted wannabe pilots. From the press release:
Read-Ahead Fire: Normal missile fire is done by locking on to nearby enemies and launching missiles that pursue their target. While this approach of air-to-air combat is suitable for eliminating most enemies, it requires the player to spend valuable time getting closer to their
