Ain’t it grand when you can set two people up on a blind date? Why, just this week head of EA Games Frank Gibeau set up Mr. Foot with Ms. Mouth. He also proclaims the days of average licensed games is over, in the same month his publisher released the utterly woeful Kinect-compatible Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1. Yup, we think Johnny Foot is going to be very Happy in Jenny Mouth.

The sixth Potter movie is on its way to theaters and, as you'd expect, on its way to videogame mediocrity with Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince - and we have the first screenshot.
The game is set for release in fall of this year, coinciding with the release of the film which a bazillion people will rush out to see.

In a recent podcast the Creative Director of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, Matt Birch, has revealed that creating Harrys famous school was a huge challenge for the development team. Also included in the six minute chat are comments from the cast talking about how impressed they were with the visuals of the game. And Matt is even kind enough to offer some helpful hints and tips for those of you who are having a little trouble finding your way around.

Calling all Potter fans - EA has released new in-game footage from Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, the publisher's latest title starring the boy wizard that's set to release alongside the movie this summer. Visually, EA seems to be treating its most famous franchise very well. The graphics in these five shots are surprisingly impressive for what could have been (mistakenly) relegated to kiddie fare. The characters appear lifelike and the environments appear accurate...
EA's recreation of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix will boast a new gesture-based spellcasting system that lets you perform magic with motions on PS3 and Wii. While the 360 version will remain stuck with conventional analog sticks, the PS3 and Wii versions will be more interesting.
Executive producer, Harvey Elliott, explained to GameSpot: "Instead of pressing buttons to fire off specific spells, we use each console's unique controls.

The website should be enough to please any Potter fanatic as it's littered with screenshots (some of which you can see right here), trailers and other things for you muggles to do while you wait for the final book. The videogame is being brought to console, handheld and PC and relives the fifth-installment of the book.
