It might lack the satin sexiness of Ada Wong or the strike-a-pose foppishness of Leon Kennedy, but this inspirational Licker costume has a special charm all of its own. It is quite simply the best Resident Evil cosplay I have ever seen.
Resident Evil producer Masachika Kawata acknowledges that addressing fans' desire for a return to the series' horror roots is going to be important to the future of the franchise.
A
regular gaming voice-actor may have inadvertently confirmed that
Capcom is working on Resident Evil 6 via the tried-and-tested means
of the premature resume entry. Joe Cappelletti, whose work as
“various voices” you may've heard in anything from Modern Warfare
3 to Tony Hawk's Proving Ground, had a role in the title listed on
his website until earlier today. But Siliconera wisely snapped a pic
of the listing, incriminatory numbering and all...
Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City will be a lot more run-and-gun than previous RE adventures according to the game's producer, Masachika Kawata. In an interview with the Official Xbox Magazine UK, he said that Capcom is taking the series in a different direction for the upcoming spin-off, shedding its survival horror roots for a more action-oriented experience...
Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City has been met with some trepidation by fans of the survival horror. Not only is it a departure from the survival horror experience (it's a team-based shooter), it also takes liberties with the series' plot, even offering you the chance to off Leon Kennedy, star of Resident Evils 2 and 4. But none of that will matter so much if the game plays like a beauty. So here it is in action. Too frantic? More videos inside...
Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City is real and the first gameplay details have emerged from various sources on the internet. Developer Slant Six cut its teeth on SOCOM: Navy SEALS games for PS3 and PSP, so it's little surprise that the game is a squad-based shooter - quite a departure for the series. But what's all this talk of a mission to kill Leon Kennedy? Surely we're reading this wrong?!
The debut trailer for Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City has debuted. The upcoming squad-based RE entry was announced in the latest issue of OXM, as well as other mags, and puts you on the side of either a government Special Ops team or the Umbrella Security Services (lots more details in our first article!). See it for yourself in the trailer... though aside from the cameo at the end, the most notable take-away from it may be "BIG LOGO GETS SMALLER."
We’re still waiting for Resident Evil 6, but in the meantime
we have more than enough T-Virus created zombies for the foreseeable future. That
includes the alternate take on RE2, Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City,
where players control a squad of Umbrella special ops out to clean up Raccoon
City of zombies, living witnesses, and rookie cops like Leon Kennedy. Today’s
trailer is full of new info, not the least of which is the release date...
Capcom has announced that it'll be launching a beta for Resident Evil:
Operation Raccoon City in early 2012 ahead of the game's March launch. Having
demoed multiplayer builds of the title at trade shows over recent months, the
company will be letting the public loose on the title “early next year,”
producer Mike Jones told attendees at Capcom's Gamers Day 2011 last week...
