We come bearing gifts from the rather popular make-believe land of Azeroth: five delicious new shots from The Burning Crusade, the first expansion pack for the mentally successful MMORPG World of Warcraft.
The pictorial treats give us a peek at the newly introduced blood elf race, as well as some of the new locations from the pointy-eared folks' realm, namely the Cliffs of Nagrand and the Terokkar forest.
There's still no confirmation on when The Burning Crusade will be
Top wrestling series WWE SmackDown! vs. Raw has gone fully multiformat for the first time ever. SmackDown! vs Raw 2007 - the series' eighth incarnation - will be released in November and, as well as offering the expected PS2 and PSP games, there will also be versions available for PS3 and Xbox 360.
Until now, the well-regarded grapple-'em-ups had been exclusive to PlayStation ever since the original SmackDown! (then under the WWF brand) was released for PSone in 1999.

The fourth annual WWE Superstar Challenge, held in Chicago yesterday, saw Intercontinental Champion Shelton Benjamin emerge victorious, continuing his stranglehold on the annual SmackDown! vs Raw videogame tournament run by publisher THQ.
Benjamin has won every previous competition - which pits the real-life WWE stars against each other in THQ's official game - and it was the same old story as he overcame MNM member Johnny Nitro in the final in Chicago.
Sony big-wig Phil Harrison's keynote speech at the Game Developers Conference on Wednesday was focused mainly on Sony's hardware and online initiative, but all that stuff is meaningless without games to back it up. Fortunately, several developers took the stage during the keynote to finally give us a glimpse of what the PS3 really looks like in motion - and for the record, it looks
Konami has revealed that Winning Eleven 10, the next instalment in its obsessively adored football franchise - which is better known to UK gamers as Pro Evolution Soccer - will be released in Asia on 27 April, well ahead of this summer's World Cup in Germany.
What changes series producer Shingo Takatsuka has implemented since the previous version is unclear, although it's suspected that there will be new modes of play and an option to enable an automated tactics system that will simplify the
Games Workshop will bring its fantasy tabletop phenomenon Warhammer to the PC in a new massively multiplayer online world. Mythic Entertainment, the developer behind Dark Age of Camelot, has announced it has been tasked with the project. Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning comes to life in 2007.
Age of Reckoning promises to blend realm-vs-realm, player-vs-player and player-vs-environment combat into one "seamless experience," with every element of the game intrinsically linked to a great war
Blizzard, the developer behind the seemingly unstoppable MMORPG juggernaut World of Warcraft, has announced some fresh details for its upcoming Burning Crusade expansion pack, revealing Hellfire Citadel - an instance (a quest that doesn't generate its content until the player has begun the quest) for roving adventurers to explore.
Described by Blizzard as "a nearly impenetrable bastion," Hellfire Citadel is located deep within Hellfire Peninsula in the Outlands zone and, according to WoW lore,
Last week, the official website for Namco's ingenious ball-rolling collect-'em-up, Katamari Damacy, closed its virtual doors. And, yes, Namco has followed up the move with an announcement that the team behind the game has been disbanded, and there are no more Katamari games planned for the future.
The Katamari Damacy franchise is just three games strong, but that's been enough for it to worm its way into many more hearts than plenty of other, longer-running brands. The series has had two
World of Warcraft developer Blizzard has confirmed that the massively multiplayer online game will not be released for Xbox 360, despite what many gamers might have expected.
"We do not have any plans to take WoW to Xbox 360," Blizzard told games trade publication MCV. "WoW is built as a PC gaming experience. Porting PC games to console often compromises games and we'd never allow the WoW gameplay experience to suffer."
There's a small consolation though - Blizzard added that it wouldn't rule
KOEI announced today that Winback 2: Project Poseidon will be available next month on PS2 and Xbox. Similar to the original shootfest Winback, you direct a team of three highly trained counter-terrorism operatives in their desperate attempt to retrieve a doomsday device that threatens the entire world. Granted, we've seen this setup about a million times by now, but terrorists apparently never learn their lesson.
Although the plot doesn't seem original, a new "route" system that provides the
