Assassin's Creed, it seems, happens as frequently as sunset these days. With AC: Brotherhood having just been released, only a year after its predecessor, Assassin's Creed II, and God knows how many spin-offs and cross-media titles appearing in between, it now seems that a full-blown AC III might well be confirmed for next year. Don't believe me? Well here's what Ubisoft has to say on the subject...
Assassin's Creed and Metal Gear have had an unusual cross-promotional relationship for a while now, what with Altair's hooded robe and Leap of Faith showing up in Metal Gear Solid 4 and MGS: Peace Walker, respectively. So when a rumor that Raiden's robot exoskeleton from MGS4 would appear in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood turned out to be true, we weren't the least bit surprised. The news item even revealed how to get the costume, making it one of the few "secrets" we knew how to unlock before we'd even played the game.
Just in case you didn't already know about it, publisher Ubisoft released a trailer today that gives the curious a brief glimpse of the costume. It's elegant and all, but if Ubi's going to tease stuff that's already out, we figured we might as well go the extra mile and just show you what the publisher's trying to be coy about...
Most everyone will agree that Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands was one of the best written games of 2010. Wait, what's that? You think that's absolutely ridiculous, and completely disagree? Then you certainly won't want to see some of the other games that the Writers Guild of America has nominated for its 2010 Videogame Writing Award...

Story writers Patrice Desilets, Jeffrey Yohalem and Corey May were honored for their work on the game in simultaneous ceremonies in New York and Los Angeles on February 5...
Have you bought up every business in Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood's version of Rome? Found every flag? Solved every Cluster? Dominated in multiplayer? Then we've got some good news: more AssBro is on the way March 8, when the first DLC expansion – titled The Da Vinci Disappearance – hits Xbox Live and PSN with a new single-player storyline, new Achievements/Trophies and a handful of add-ons for multiplayer...
Always good for worthwhile DLC, the latest installment in the Assassin's Creed saga gets its biggest add-on yet in the form of the “Da Vinci Disappearance” expansion. First previewed back in January, the DLC's single-player component pretty much does what it says on the tin – where in the world is Leonardo Da Vinci? – but the new trailer focuses on the pack's multiplayer aspects, which for many are Brotherhood's big draw card…
Do you know your assassins? Knowledgeable in creeds? Ubisoft is in the process of assembling a comprehensive Assassin's Creed Encyclopedia, and is now seeking a writer with solid grasp of AC lore and a more betterer sense of the English language to quarterback the project. Fear not starving authors, for this is a paying gig...
One misconception about Canadians is that we spend our lives obsessing over hockey, guzzling superior beer and adding extra vowels to our words. This is simply not true – we do all that, and also make and play a ton of videogames. In honour (that's honour with a 'u') of this, the Canadian Videogame Awards are returning to Vancouver this May for a second year, and today its producers released the list of finalists vying for the 2011 cup...
