Diablo III isn’t the only PC game slipping to 2012. Rift
developer Trion has revealed that their free-to-play massively multiplayer
online real-time strategy, End of Nations, will also be retreating to a much out of 2011. It’s a delay we’re happy to hear about, too –
with all of the heavy-hitting sequels coming out this year it would have been
really hard for a F2P RTS to compete, especially with games like The Old
Republic standing their ground in 2011...
Trion's
End of Nations might not be due out until next year, but that doesn't
mean you shouldn't start getting prepared early. Today, the developer
released a batch of screenshots of the upcoming free-to-play RTS/MMO
hybrid featuring tanks, artillery, and scout vehicles fighting in some
of the different locations that will be made available at launch...
Trion Worlds has a plan of attack for the release of End of Nations, the large-scale MMORTS it's releasing free-to-play later this year. And, because you're such valued members of the community and all, it's sharing that plan in a new video - and soliciting beta signups...
We're a few days away from the beginning of E3, but don't tell that to Trion - it just released a new trailer for End of Nations, its upcoming MMORTS...
Times are rough at Trion Worlds: up to a third of the team behind Rift is gone and End of Nations development shake-ups abound...

Splash Damage's next update for Enemy Territory: Quake Wars will include a training mode to ease new players into the multiplayer action.
"The single greatest hurdle to ensuring great game-play online is getting new players to understand the basics of team-play, and the subsequent amazing buzz that comes from coordination," the developer says of the upcoming 1.4 update.
"The new Training Mode helps achieves this by teaching new players how to make effective use of the Mission
