Buena Vista Games has announced Spectrobes for DS, a Pokemon-style collect-'em-all game that brings palaeontology and the DS stylus together at last.
As Rallen and Jeena, intergalactic patrol-people, it's up to you to scour the universe searching for the spectrobes. These are fossilised creatures that must be resurrected and used to combat the Krawl, deep-space nasties who threaten to destroy the

Ubisoft's first-person RPG, Dark Messiah of Might & Magic, is more about slugging it out in close combat than worrying about experience points. And these new shots will give you a taste of the gruesome blade fodder you'll be standing toe-to-toe with when the game launches later this year.
Forget the obvious comparisons to Oblivion, Dark Messiah offers far more options for skirmishing tactics than its massively single-player rival. While in a brawl you can kick out at your

Konami could well be revealing Hideo Kojima's first game for Nintendo Wii at its E3 press event next week.
It has long been known that Metal Gear creator Kojima has been developing for Nintendo's new console and it now seems that this year's E3 will see it presented to the world's gaming press.
The source of this speculation comes from the curious choice of design used for the Konami conference invites. On the postcards were the following words: "return, rearm, regale,
It's been rumored for a while that Ubisoft Montreal - the brain trust behind Splinter Cell and the latter-day Prince of Persia games - has been working on something code-named Project Assassins, but like the characters it title suggests, the title has been shrouded in secrecy. Today, Ubisoft revealed the game as Assassin's Creed, yanking it out of the shadows with an official announcement and a teaser trailer (which you can view by clicking the Movies tab
SNK Playmore, the publisher behind such revered series as King of Fighters and Samurai Shodown, has announced its support for Nintendo's two alive-and-well pieces of hardware. The first games coming down the pike? Metal Slug Anthology for Wii and SNK vs Capcom: Card Fighters DS.
The side-scrolling, gun-toting series is synonymous with hardcore shooting action, but Anthology claims to shake things up even more by using Wii's tilty-whirly controller in "new and unique" ways. Seeing as the whole

Some of us would like to play a fantasy RPG without all the pesky socializing and group dynamics that massively multiplayer games like Final Fantasy XI foist upon us - and we'd like to do it all by

Well, gamers' secret desires are being heartily acknowledged with the upcoming release of Overlord, a game in which you command an army of minions to accomplish your every
If there's one RPG series that can go toe-to-toe with Final Fantasy any day of the week, it's Dragon Quest. Both franchises have brought social lives to a screeching halt with their 100 hour adventures and engrossing storylines, but they've also splintered into mini-franchises that delve into unseen worlds within the main series. The latest would be Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocket Slime, an overhead affair that ditches puny humans altogether.
Instead of knights, mages or cursed kings, you'll be

A new racing game for Wii will be unveiled during Nintendo's E3 press conference, so says the company's executive vice president of sales and marketing, Reggie Fils-Aime.
While speaking at the Nintendo World Store last week, Reggie let slip that this new game would be used to demonstrate just how the Wii controller would work with racing games, stating that it would require it being used in a "very different way".
Unfortunately there is no clue as to what the game will
