When Red Dead Redemption gave us its zombie-themed Undead Nightmare expansion last year, we hoped it might spark a trend – and after today’s announcement of the InFamous 2: Festival of Blood DLC, it seems developer Sucker Punch has been thinking along the same lines. Trading zombies for vampires, the standalone DLC (due out this October, and apparently playable without a copy of InFamous 2) sees New Marais overrun by bloodsuckers, who then bite Cole. The reveal was accompanied by a moody new trailer, which you can watch above...
We've known it was coming for a while now, having heard endless rumors about it through unofficial (but reliable) channels. But just in case there was any doubt, InFamous 2 has been officially confirmed as real, thanks to the cover of the upcoming July issue of Game Informer. The teaser story linked above also offers up a few details about the game ahead of its 10-page preview...
During a closed-door session at E3 a couple weeks ago, we had the chance to see - and then play - a demo for InFamous 2, the 2011-bound sequel to Sony's promising, lightning-charged superhero/disaster/sandbox adventure from 2009. And while we weren't all that hot on the first game, we came away from this one impressed; while we only played for a few minutes, everything we experienced was better, faster and more visually interesting. And now, instead of just reading reactions like that from people like us, you can see footage of the InFamous 2 E3 demo for yourself.

Posting on Twitter, developer Sucker Punch explained, "We've decided to extend the beta. Once PSN is back up we'll determine by how long, but rest assured: your outcry has been...
At GR we’re generally fans of the InFamous series, giving
InFamous 2 a respectable 8/10,
