  • Microsoft-owned developer Rare could be planning a release of an updated version of old-school shooter Jetpac for Xbox 360's Live Arcade service, if a listing on the website of German rating board USK is to be believed. The listing on the USK's official page indicates that a game called Jetpac Refueled - defined as a shoot-'em-up - has been rated for release on Xbox 360, will be published by Microsoft and was approved for its rating on Tuesday, February
  • Yes, Jetpac is back - and on Xbox Live Arcade very soon, just as we expected after a rating website listed Jetpac Refueled for launch on Xbox 360. But what we weren't expecting, and what this new video reveals, was that it would look so brilliant! Check it out! Jetpac Refueled's glossy and gleaming visuals are instantly at home alongside other Arcade greats like Geometry Wars and, er, the rest. How long now until we see another Rare opus - that is, Goldeneye - lighting up our lives on some
  • This Wednesday the newest addition to the ever-growing Xbox Live Arcade collection will be available to download. Jetpac Refuelled is a remake of the classic 80s arcade game Jetpac, but to make it extra-explosive, Rare has added some special ingredients to fuel the fire. As a galactic rocket test pilot you'll have a difficult job ahead of you. Don't worry about the astrophysics involved - those little details have been taken care of by Rare. You will be more focused on blasting a path through
  • A minor glitch that prevented gamers from using an unlockable dashboard theme and gamer pictures in Jetpac Refuelled has been fixed with a new update. Rare released an official statement on its official site, acknowledging the technical blip, and apologized. To install the update you are actually required to delete the game you have already downloaded and completely re-download the now-fixed version. Don't worry though, it won't cost you a penny, and your save game and leaderboard status will
  • It's official: daredevil extraordinaire Joe Danger will be making a death-defying leap from the PlayStation Network to the Xbox Live Arcade this holiday season. As previously hinted by the Korean Ratings Board, the former PSN exclusive will be published by Microsoft Korea and appear for download on the XBLA as a tricked-out special edition...

  • Hello Games is introducing a jolly holiday icon to Joe Danger's crew this week. On December 21, owners of the XBLA Joe Danger Special Edition will be granted access to free Santa Danger DLC, which will feature the death-defying fat man, winter wonderlands, and an all-new Christmas QuadBike...

  • Hello Games has revealed the official date when we'll be able to get our hands on the sequel to one of 2010's best downloadable games...

  • Ladies and gentlemen, I am rather bloody excited this afternoon. Rather bloody excited indeed. As many of you will already know, I absolutely sodding love Joe Danger, the ultra hardcore, ultra friendly racer-cum-stunt-bike-trail-cum-platformer-cum-tribute-to-all-that-is-right-and-good-in-16-bit-gaming, released as the debut title of British indie funsters Hello Games last year. And the thing is, I've been sitting on news of the sequel. Well, the sort-of sequel. Because I don't think it's going to be anything like a simple recycling of the JD format. Oh no, it sounds way better and way more ambitious than that.

In fact it sounds like every big silly thing you've ever thought awesome in your life, combined with - to paraphrase Hello - every film you’ve ever loved as a kid, cut together into some crazy montage. Click on, where I will relay more details, and no doubt flap excitedly throughout.

  • We named Hello Games' stunt-based motorcycle game, Joe Danger, one of the best downloadable games of 2010, but we won't fault you if you haven't heard much about it. The PlayStation Network exclusive was released last year to strong reviews , but the exclusivity kept it from ever growing to the absurd popularity it deserved. According the the Korean Ratings Board, that may be changing very soon...
