Aedis Eclipse: Generation of Chaos review

  • Customizing XP distribution
  • Persuading enemies to your side
  • Captain's skill abilities
  • Menus are a drag
  • The needless complication
  • Game slowdown

With more menus than a Parisian dining district, Aedis Eclipse: Generation of Chaos gets bogged down by its own ambition. And the game’s relative ease only makes its strategic density seem all the more unnecessary. A lot of improvements the fans were asking for are here, such as customizable units and less load times, but the game fails to measure up to other turn-based strategy games out there, and just barely surpasses its predecessor.
