A rather impressive list of videogame currency

Who cares what you use this for?

Cash can be exchanged for health and other items, while ADAM is more like a commodity and is used primarily for plasmids, upgrades and purchasing other tonics. But can you get cash from harvesting a creepy girl? Hell no! We already tried that.

The Buckazoid is the base currency for everyone in the galaxy. Duh.

Munny. Sounds like money. Used to purchase items and other RPG shit. Cute.

You can buy bombs and arrows. Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

We Googled what Adena was used for and just came up with a bunch of sites about how to purchase the currency from other players.

Used to buy all the stuff you need to outfit your bachelor pad and uh… outfit with. Also what you need to earn to work off your debt at the outset of the game.

Hard to come by, this rare currency is used to purchase stuff items and upgrades on the black market.

As the late Raul Julia once said, one Bison Dollar will be equal to five British Pounds in Bisonopolis once the Queen was kidnapped.

You may have noticed Fluffy the Fish engraved on the coin. Good job. These coins are used to purchase all kinds of upgrades for your enjoyment of the game. Non-members have limited use of their funds.

I'm surprised GR didn't include Credits - , (Star Wars currency) The symbol looked like a seven with two lines through it. Oh well, nice article anyway. keep it up GR.

The "legand of zelda" rupees were by far my most favorite. Who thought that one of the most awsome game currency is also the national dollar of Africa?

This reminds me of a funny Shake quote from ATHF: "Cash the friggin check already! don't you know how much this is worth? Cause I do not!" Also "Used to purchase upgrades, weapons, gadgets, gadzooks, hijinks, whatchamacallits and blammo." And, in Racthet 2 and 3, they are used to buy information. Great article

I liked the money system in Luigi's Mansion (gems and other stuff) and i laughed pretty loud at the bratz thing.

jamminotha1n2: I'm sure Bison knew. He had the forethought to know that a defibrillator built in to his suit made him impervious to bullets, so I'm sure he thought the money situation through. Because it totally makes sense that a defibrillator can raise you from the dead after taking a shot to the brain.

I couldn't help but notice you missed out the "imperial septim" from the elder scrolls games.

on the fact of bison dollars, does bison even know how badly he would throw off global inflation rates if he started distributing a new currency because i don't?
