A Nintendo fan's wet dream

Mega Man - Mega Man series
Link - The Legend of Zelda

These two NES giants were created separately but eventually connected at the hip. They're also both doubled up in many areas - Link, in fact, is entirely comprised of two-deep blocks, making him nigh-impossible to break or slip apart.

Mega Man is the first case of an NES sprite needing human flesh tones. Unfortunately, there isn't one. The closest you can get is mixing colors of pink and light yellow, as was done here, or you can go all one color and live with it. Some creations have so little skin it doesn't matter (one you'll see on the next page), and others have a lot of bare nakedness that need a dedicated flesh color (something you'll see in a little bit).

Link and Mega Man are also two characters that can appear in several different colors. Link is usually green and facing the player, but here we've gone the red ring route and draped him appropriately. Mega Man has donned every combination possible, but we opted for the classic "Blue Bomber" look.
