A new hope for a movie based on The Force Unleashed

Executive Producer hopes to see game’s characters on the ‘big or little’ screen

Novels and comics based on The Force Unleashed have already been released, but the game’s executive producer Haden Blackman is hoping for more. Heartened by the production of a live action Star Wars television series, Blackman would like to see the characters from his game appear in a TV show or film.

“…we’re already seeing [The Force Unleashed] reach out into publishing with comic books and novels that are taking into account stories we’ve created and characters we’ve created. Hopefully, some day we will see these characters on the big or little screen,” said Blackman in an interview with CVG.

Above: We’d love to see Starkiller get some screen time in a TV show or movie. What say you?

“We’re dealing in a period of time that has largely been unexplored by anything. Force Unleashed was the first major story we set in that time period. I think we surprised a lot of fans with that story because we showed the formation of the Rebell Alliance and introduce the concept of the dark secret apprentice,” continued Blackman.

I would love to see that the movie is better than the prequel trilogy and is not directed by George Lucas. As long as they don't let Jar Jar or the racist stereotypical chop suey Trade federation guys, the the movie will be just fine.

@Geminiman82 He also does the voice for the Emperor.

This could be good if done right. And Idk bout 3D movies they just need to keep 3D off games until they can get it right

"A game producer hopes something cool would happen with his IP"
I'd expect to see articles of that kind on N4G or Blue's News, not here.

They already said they're going to make a live action Star Wars TV series set in between Episodes III and IV, but George Lucas said the series wouldn't focus on any Jedi characters. I wonder if they might still try to do this in addition to that.

I don't know if you gave this to James Cameron and put it out in 3D, it would probably be pretty cool... and yes I hated the prequels too.

but seeing how James Cameron probably wouldn't touch this it would seem live action would be the best way to go.

I just hate when they try to recreate the classics because 'they are what they are' and we won't view anything like we did the original... it just doesn't work.

What's awesome is that if this does manage to score a film or television series, they can always hire the guy who plays the role of Starkiller! Since Starkiller's looks, voice, and motion capture were done by the guy, there would be no real problem hiring him!
