The first Final Fantasy really wasn't all that interesting. Sakaguchi himself (or another of the big, important Square Enix guys, but I think it was Sakaguchi) said that it was really just a bad Dragon Quest clone. I'd be more interested in a commentary for FF2. Did nobody notice how broken the character progression was? Did nobody care?

AND going off of what Metroidhunter32 said, "Here are the next 10 games we'd like to learn everything about:" There are *ahem* 11 listed. I'll say it for you Charlie: "DAMN YOU BOOGERMAN!"

Good call on Brutal Legend. The promos with Jack Black and Tim Schafer were all hilarious. Throw in some of the other star-studded voice talent they had throughout the game, and you've got one of the best commentaries in the history of all media.

@GamesRadarCharlieBarratt there is so much irony in that statement

i was about to point out the 5 more games when you listed 6. well maybe daikatana doesn't count as a game
  • GamesRadarCharlieBarratt - April 27, 2010 1:18 a.m.

Damn you and your counting skills! And, as our own Mr. Elston pointed out, Metroid Prime "took a dormant franchise and completely updated it perfectly in one try, all while Nintendo was breathing down the team's necks".

@ Metroidhunter32 Maybe Charlie was implying that Dead or Alive Extreme Beach Volleyball doesn't "demand commentary"... or perhaps all of that vidya has impaired his ability to count.

What sort of comentary would you want on Prime? BTW you said 5 more games that demand commentary, but showed 6
