An internet web-post on a GameSpot user blog has confirmed that Nintendo of America President Reggie Fils-Aime both attended high school and was photographed there. The post was written in December of last year, and reads simply, "Reggie Fils-Aime High School Photo ... IS LEGIT."
Reggie's deafening collar came to our attention today when Destructoid noticed the post and subsequently crowned the exec "King of all Badasses." There's no word on when...

PAX East is just a few days away, and the announcements are flying in like flocks of carrier pigeons, only much faster and actually as e-mails. The biggest announcement today comes from Nintendo, which revealed that public 3DS demo stations will be available at its booth.

If you think there haven't been a lot of big Wii games lately, it's not your imagination. Nintendo is admitting it had to divert some focus away from the Wii as it prepared for the anticipated launches of the 3DS and the latest round of DS Pokemon games.

There are all sorts of anti-piracy measures built into Nintendo's 3DS hardware and its games, but now a retailer in Japan says there's an even stronger deterrent to prevent players from running unauthorized 3DS software.

"If you use equipment or devices not approved by Nintendo ... [your 3DS] may no longer start," reads the notification, according to a Google translation.
The retailer also notes it will not buy back a 3DS system if it has a record of running "unapproved equipment."

As if Zelda fans weren't already eager to lay down their money and/or lives for the forthcoming Ocarina of Time 3DS remake, Nintendo is hedging its bets for retail success by shipping the game with the notorious Master Quest; an alternate playthrough mode originally cut from the N64 version...

The 3DS is already out in Japan, but it seems Nintendo still hasn't quite finalized its plans for digital downloads over the new portable system. One new emerging detail is that most, but not all, of the existing DSiWare titles will be available through the 3DS's eShop.
The University of Southern California has retained the position of “Top School for Video Game Design Study.” GamePro Media and the Princeton Review teamed up to give the school top honors in their survey of their top ten graduate and undergraduate programs. USC beat out 150 other schools for first place in both categories.
Schools were assessed on the basis of a survey with more than 50 questions. Faculty qualifications, post-graduation employment rate and alumni achievement were all taken into account.
The 3DS hasn't even been out for a week in Japan and there's already a software update for the device. Version 1.1.0-1J has just been released, adding a few tweaks and giving users access to a 3D Super Mario music video...
