  • Our friends at Official Nintendo Magazine UK have a new episode of Nintendo TV ready for you. Let them tell you about this week's goodness:

In this week’s episode we sit down with the head of Team Ninja, Yosuke Hayashi to ask him all about Dead or Alive: Dimensions. We found out all the inside knowledge on the game and tried to stop ourselves asking when we’re going to see Beach Volleyball in 3D. Click through for the trailer and more...

The drought of ass-kickin’ ninja sidescrollers is nearly over, people. It took almost a decade, but Sega’s finally done the right thing and announced the a brand new Shinobi game, exclusively for Nintendo 3DS. And it looks as if the House of Sonic’s learned a thing or too since 2003’s PS2 misfire. A 2D Shinobi game displayed in 3D?! Oh goodness, it feels like nine-year-old me is being tickled… Sega Geeks: Prepare to have your nostalgia rod dutifully serviced. More screenshots inside...

In the lead up to E3 2011, it’s easy to forget about one of the most pleasant surprises of E3 2010: Ocarina of Time 3D. We at GR are plenty excited and we’ve even begun our most ambitious FAPping yet, but in our exhaustive coverage, perhaps you missed details on the new features added to the 3DS remake. In case you missed the info in our previews, Nintendo just sent us a simple little video that makes it all crystal clear...

  • If you’re like us, you’re probably wondering what you’re going to do with that swank 3DS you bought after The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is finished. Don’t worry, this is a common problem. The cure, though, will come with one simple word; and according to Nintendo Power, that word is “hedgehog.”

Also, “ninjas.” Okay fine. Two words. Whatever.

The June issue of Nintendo Power confirms that Sonic Generations will be coming out for the Nintendo 3DS, clearly showing off Sega’s marquee blue varmint in a classic and cocky pose with his index finger fully extended. A closer look to the upper left corner on the cover also outs the revival of the classic ninja platforming series, Shinobi. News of Sonic Generations and Shinobi is followed by what appears to be a leaked copy of an internal trailer for the upcoming 3DS Shinobi title...

  • You're all doubtless familiar with the recent Modern Warfare 3 trailer debut during the NBA Western Conference Finals. However, that wasn't the only crossover this week between videogame culture and a prestigious sporting event. As we're all championship figure-skating aficionados here, let's not pretend you didn't all see the silver medal-winning Russian performance: a gender-bending Super Mario pastiche. You've probably watched this thing to death already, but can’t we take just one more look? Together?...

  • Swedish Dead or Alive fans looking forward to seeing Kasumi and the gang in the third dimension may be out of luck. Dead or Alive: Dimensions for the Nintendo 3DS will not be releasing in Sweden, Norway, or Denmark. The decision to not distribute the upcoming handheld fighter comes from Nintendo Europe and distributor Bergsala.

Speaking to Eurogamer, Nintendo Europe and Bergsala cited “various reasons” for the cancellation, but did not...

  • Organizers with the TooManyGames East Coast Gaming Expo are taking Howard Stern to task over a recent on-air segment in which the shock jock mocked the event and its radio-unfriendly attendees. In an open letter released today, TooManyGames thanked Stern for giving the expo free publicity, and challenged him to "release his inner nerd" by actually attending the video gaming event he seemed so intent on tearing down. The letter opens nicely enough, but soon enters "written with a sneer" territory...

  • Close your eyes and listen to this new cut from South African electronica outfit Goldfish. Perfectly serviceable house-bounce, right? A little Junior Senior, a bit Felix Da Housecat? Okay, now watch the clip. If that isn't the densest, most in-joke laden, lawsuit-courting-est music video you've ever seen, clearly you come from an alternate universe where retrogaming shout-outs have replaced the English language as the dominant mode of communication...

  • Game movies are usually a huge pile of rotting crusty dump. I know that. But it doesn't matter any more. Because if a recent quote is to be interpreted as I believe it is - and I'm 99.99999999notenoughninesintheworld% sure it is - then we could soon be in for one so good that it'll instantly wipe away all the bad karma from the likes of Resident Evil and Double Dragon, leaving the planet pure and fresh once again.

Because following previous rumours, said quote implies very heavily that a live-action Phoenix Wright movie is indeed coming, and it's coming from Miike Takashi, the director of extreme cinema classics such as Ichi the Killer, Audition and the Dead or Alive trilogy. Click on, and I'll explain why that's a very, very good thing.

  • Your parents can probably tell you exactly what they were doing when they heard that man had walked on the moon. And their parents doubtless told them exactly where they were when, um, the Magna Carta was signed (hi, not a history major). And in turn, come June 7, you'll be party to another epoch-shattering event: a major corporation announcing their next product line! By which we mean, of course, that Nintendo will be unveiling their new console at E3, and they want you to watch...
